木が溢れる都会：サステイナビリティに積極的なパリ🇫🇷（英語版）Paris: to be a sustainable city by planting trees
パリとサステイナビリティ
パリって素敵だなと思う一つが、
上を見上げる伝統的な美しい建物と一緒に
多くの木がたたずんでいること。
ちょうど、パリの語学学校で
環境問題、特に「間伐」について
文章を作ったこともあり、
少し「パリとサステイナビリティ」
について調べてみました。
なぜパリは木であふれている？
みなさんはなぜパリに
たくさん木があるか知っていますか？
少し調べて英語でまとめてみました。

Why are there so many trees in Paris?
The plane, chestnut, linden Japanese pagoda trees, etc…3.5 years was a short period I was living in Paris since I was born there, but I had some that I still remember. One thing was the image of Paris which has a lot of nature. Especially tall trees that are planted symmetrically.
The tradition of planting trees started in the 19th century and it is passed down to today. However, as we are facing a world issue, global warming, it seems that Paris is also preparing for rising temperatures in the coming periods. By 2026, it is announced that they will plant more than 170,000 trees throughout Paris with the hope of covering 50% of the city by 2030 with trees. Aside from the discussion of whether it is possible or not, I think I've never been to any place 50% of which is covered by trees or nature, so I honestly cannot imagine what it would be like….But that sounds amazing. As one person who has grown up and lived in the city for my entire life, I feel like we need more nature to relax and air to breathe in and out. By the way, I learned that it is estimated to lower the temperature by 9 to 18 degrees with trees, which is surprisingly a lot to me. What do you think?
Well, you cannot just plant trees but to take care of it. Or plant trees that are relatively self-sufficient. I read that a 100-year-old tree is worth 125 newly planted trees in the aspect of absorbing carbon dioxide and cooling down the heat.
Hmm…cost-benefit balance right…
Anyway, I need more research to talk about the environment, and I do not have one conclusion but here is what I learned lately.
And as a little thing, I can as one human on the planet, I have tried to make a sustainable choice in these past few years. I've learned how to make a sustainable choice, seek sustainable products, etc, and I love to learn more ways and ideas to contribute to a sustainable society and planet😌🌿🌸

By the way, I am learning words relating to the environment in French right now. Unlike numbers😏 (give me applause, now I can count in French without actually doing math 🥹like "quatre✖︎vingt➕treize"🤪), these words are very similar to English so it is easier to remember for me. I just need not forget to pronounce it in the French style🤓🇫🇷
