I really don't understand how anybody would want to spend that much money on something like this.

Only の前に the がつくのをチェック

● I don't like doing → ～するのが好き または 好きじゃない という場合 like の後は基本的には doing 動名詞 が続きます。

go to the beach → 海へ行く
⚠️ 日本語では同じ 海 ですが英語では言葉が異なります
