to my Friend
Fiery Sun's mercy like sweeping scimitar fell。in desert, hard was the weeping rain chopping aloud upon the sultry sand
wherefore is the moaning forsworn of love, and the salt on the wounds? upon the red face, upon the yellow hands, upon the sandaled black feet. all those i envision are but wounds.
freer blood, flow from my heart. or how should I mourn or rejoice in the delight of solar rain?
orange is the colour that marks the end of my heart. upon the horizon the breeze has broken the embalmed purple cloud. Sunset of an old Dusk is comely and full of old age's wise mercy.
Does the Orb travel and gain its colour so deep like my heart thus? but it is sharp and has cut my flesh, more than twice.
Should Old Age be joyful, then let the ugly be young and fond of mistakes once more. Let not sunshine reprimand me no more. For the Sun is merciful. It shines upon the desert, where every one is his own judge and sinner. in the eternal desert with no exitus but peace.
but the Sun's light must stop with mercy one day, so cloudless azure day, comes. and palm trees in Night's peace may flower and bear fruits from wet soil

when wind is old and stale no more. relent All then to Song of Songs. youth is always to be found very, very late.
and let the bleeding notes from your tired voice fill this empty cup. this cup has carried in itself Nothing but the Sun. the Sun which has travailed from Orient to Ocident, and now is No More. Nevermore. Yet fear not, Eternity sits in its place upon the empty cup.
filled with the blood of songs. and fright not that it too shall pass, for what can be emptied will be refilled, again and again forever more.
"Fiery Sun's mercy like sweeping scimitar fell" "in desert, hard was the weeping rain""but it must stop with mercy one day, so cloudless azure day, comes and palm trees in Night's peace may flower and bear fruits from wet soil"
:"the soil bleeding water endlessly from its plough-wounds"

/
Fiery Sun's mercy like sweeping scimitar fell
in desert, hard was the weeping rain chopping aloud upon the sultry sand
but it must stop with mercy one day,
so cloudless azure day, comes
and palm trees in Night's peace may flower and bear fruits from wet soil
with the soil bleeding inexhaustible water from its plough-wounds

alternative ver.

Fiery Sun's mercy like sweeping scimitar fell
in desert, hard was the weeping rain chopping aloud upon the sultry gold-blushed sand
but it must stop with mercy one day, so cloudless azure day,
comes and palm trees in Night's peace may flower and bear fruits from wet soil
the soil bleeding water endlessly from its plough-wounds

/
the soil bleeding water sharply from its plough-wounds
