①もし生活が貧しくて物を売らなければならないとしたら、まず金、宝石、家、土地を売りなさい。最後まで売ってはいけないのは本である。

① If you are poor and have to sell things, first sell your gold, jewels, house and land.　The only thing that should not be sold to the end is the book.

②人には口が一つなのに、耳は二つあるのは何故か。それは自分が話す倍だけ他人の話を聞かなければならないからだ。
