世の中がデジタルになったばかりにシャッターが切れやしない
2021年の年の瀬、毎年恒例の「写真の整理」をしていた。1980年代後半から撮り溜めている写真。作品として撮っていたものも、単なる日常のスナップも全部まぜこぜにネガフィルムを段ボールにしまってあって、それをスキャニングしてデータにしたりアルバムにしたり。気が遠くなるくらいの量のネガ。今はようやく2010年代くらいの写真を整理するようになった。

食べ終わったお菓子の袋
排気ガスを盛大に出しながらトラックが行き交うマダガスカル、アンタナナリボの目貫通り。カメラをぶら下げて歩いていたら角からニョキっと少女が顔を出した。恥ずかしそうに、もう中身を全部食べちゃったお菓子の袋を見せて、ニコッとした。シャッターを切った。なぜかジャンケン(的な？)ことをして、通りの車を縫うようにして、笑いながら走って行った。あの時僕はそこにいて、シャッターを切った。2007年のマダガスカル。
