日本フランス現代版画展 ２０１５年 元麻布ギャラリー France-Japan exchange exhibition of contemporary prints in Motoazabu Gallery
作家永井雅人は版画家・美術家として自身の生命観と宇宙観を表現するために「絵画」と「版画」を相互に深く考察し制作している。銅版画やモノタイプ、ドローイング、それらを駆使した木製パネルによる組み作品によって大きな意味での自然の中の一部である今日の人間の存在を表現している。また近年は拓版など原初的な版画技法と和紙などの素材により平面表現上の空間に新たな可能性を追求している。
パネルによる組み作品の多くは人体や着物を感じさせるように形を組み上げ、大型のもので一枚の大きさが約30号50cm x 80cm で各6枚程のパネルを壁面に並べて展示する。
*会場では木版画家・河内成幸氏の木版凹版の印刷実演ワークショップなどが行われました。
The event included a workshop by woodblock print artist Seikou Kawachi, who demonstrated woodblock intaglio printing.
As a printmaker and fine artist, I create works that deeply examine the interplay between "painting" and "printmaking" in order to express my own view of life and the cosmos. I use copperplate prints, monotypes, drawings, and wood panels to express human existence today in the context of nature. I also pursue new possibilities of space in two-dimensional expression using contemporary printmaking techniques and materials such as paper.
Most of my panel works are long, as if they depict the human body or kimono, and each panel is approximately 30" x 88cm. Masato NAGAI
