SNSで直接ファンとやり取り！インフルエンサーのビジネス戦略！

2015年、当時１５歳だったカイリー・ジェンナーはリップキットの発売でブランドをスタートさせています。立ち上げからわずか18カ月で売り上げ4億2000万ドル（約457億円）！しかもその販売ルートは、オンラインのみ。この裏には、InstagramなどのSNSを使い、直接ファンとコミュニケーションを取りながら商品をプロモーションしてきたからといわれています。現在、フォロワー約2億4,000万人を抱える彼女は、アーティストのアリアナ・グランデに続いて、もっとも影響力のあるインフルエンサー第４位に格付けされています（２０２１年７月）。

もちろんカーダシアン一家が有名で、テレビでもリアリティショーを見せているからなどの理由もあるとは思いますが、ここまで拡大できたのは、SNSで直接ファンとやり取りをして、そこからターゲット層であるミレニアル世代の意見をダイレクトに反映させてきたのが大きかったのではないかと思います。また、発売当初から大掛かりなプロモーションをやるというよりか、５０００本限定発売して３０秒で完売させるなど、話題づくりも上手だったのではないかと思います。ちなみに、アイテムの販売は実店舗はもっていなくて、オンラインのみだといいます。

これまでは化粧品をはじめ商品を売る時は実店舗＋オンラインという形が主流だったかと思いますが、もはやオンラインのみで完結したほうが購入者層の行動と会っているのかもしれません。
