I think (that) …
I believe (that) …
I feel (that) …
I heard (that) …
In my opinion, …
1.) I THINK
I think that it’s a good movie.
I think we should go to Hokkaido during our vacation.
I think playing video games is a waste of time.
I don’t think that this is a good idea.
, but now I think (that) …
I thought that it was a bad idea, but now I think it is a good idea.
I thought that I couldn’t do it, but now I think I can.
I thought that he would fail, but he was successful.
I didn’t think she told anyone, but she told you!
相手の意見を聞いてみたい時は What do you think? 過去形には「What did you think about 〜 ?」
2.) I BELIEVE
「I believe (that) …
I believe cats are cute I think that cats are cute
I believe that he will come.
I believe that it is true.
I believe that he will succeed.
I believe that he is innocent.
I believe that action is appropriate.
I don’t believe that it is a good thing.
3.) I FEEL
I feel that this project is a great opportunity for us.
He feels that joining the club was a wise choice.
The students feel that the workload this semester is overwhelming.
We felt that the decision was made without enough consideration.
The team leader feels that better communication is the key to success.
4.) I HEARD
I heard that it is difficult.
I heard that the report is true.
I heard that he will move to Tokyo.
I heard that you went back to your (home) country.
I heard that soccer is a dangerous sport.
I heard that (完全な文), so I will (動詞の原形)
〜を聞いたから、私は〜をする予定だI heard that (完全な文), so now I want to (動詞の原形)
〜を聞いたから、私はは今〜したいI heard that (完全な文), so now I think that (完全な文)

I heard the company is hiring, so I think you should apply.
5.) IN MY OPINION, …
In my opinion, Nagoya is an easier place to live than Tokyo.
In my opinion, soccer is more exciting than baseball.
In my opinion, it’s his fault.

In my opinion, we should (動詞の原形) や In my opinion, I think we should
In my opinion, we should follow the plan.
In my opinion, we should not have done that.
In my opinion, I think we should leave him alone.

相手の意見を聞きたい時は In my opinion が In your opinion となります。

In your opinion, where should we go?
In your opinion, how should we do it?
