Unnecessary guidance crushes the players' ideas
Identify the type of player who makes mistakes
There are generally two types of players who make mistakes.
There are those who have too many options and make mistakes because their decision-making is delayed, and there are those who make mistakes because they lack options and their decision-making is slow.
Do you understand which type of player you are and the difference between them?
All your instructions are the same.
When a player makes a mistake, there are generally three reasons.
The play was delayed ,resulting in a mistake, because the situation was assessed until the last moment, or the decision was thwarted because there was only one option. The third is that the judgment was delayed because there were many options available.
You treat players who make different mistakes in the same way.
It's important to first ask the player what they were seeing.
Then, when they answer that they saw this and that, you should acknowledge it and say,
'I see.'
To avoid making the same mistake again, they need to make quick decisions.
They should do training that sets up the need to quickly narrow down their plays to one option.
