Ah that Man Karatakos, or Caratacus, Caradeg, the old Dog of Celtic Britons
Romans stole his nation, his lands, his kinsmen and cattle, his wives and children
And was set on stealing his life and pride, too. By making show of his public execution.
Bounded and armless, he was only granted liberty of the tongue.
Yet as a Warrior he freed his own body and subjugated spirit with such little liberty,
And through what confounding speech-craft, that twisting and slashing movements of language in Celtic Latin,
its quick and mighty wrym-knives struck like rain
those naive and mendacious blue-eyed Roman beasts with a dose of Reason.
and a plentitude of Sense. that in fearful gratitude, those italic chieftains,
