楽しくて感動的な夜。留学来てよかった。

またお会いできて嬉しいです！

今日、私は友人と楽しい時間を過ごすために外に出かけました。

朝8時に寮を出ました。自分にとってはとても早起きでした。

そして、友人と一緒に車で1時間以上かけて彼の故郷に向かいました。

まず、Dad's dinerというレストランで朝食を食べました。

超絶ヘビーな朝ごはん。Gravyと呼ばれるアメリカ風のソースをかける。

彼の両親は週に一度、この店に行くそうです。

その朝食はとてもヘビーで、いかにもアメリカ的でした。

多分1000キロカロリー以上あったと思う笑。

その後、壮観な景色を楽しめる場所に行きました。

そして、ワシントン州の北にあるフライデーハーバーという小さな島へ行きました。

シーフードを食べたり、アイスクリームを食べたり、いろいろなことをしました。

訪れた島の古本屋

オイスターとアスパラガス。これで20ドルくらい。結構安い！

Lepez Icecreamというお店のコーヒー味のアイス。友達いわく有名で美味しいお店だそう。

さらに、海の波の音しか聞こえないような秘境にも行きました。

今までアメリカで訪れた中で、一番の場所だったと思います。

そして、私たちは遂にワシントン州に戻ってきました。

帰りの船。晴れててすごい綺麗だった。

寮に着いてから、大学近くのU districtと呼ばれる地区へ飲みに行きました。

最後の夜ということでたくさん酒を飲んだ。友達もたくさん飲んでた。

サプライズだったのは、彼が私に小さな金メダルをくれたことです。

4本の柱はそれぞれ、Loyalty, Industry, Faith, Efficiencyを表すそう。

聞くところによると、彼はUWへトランスファーしてきたのでUWからメダルをもらったのだそう。

その金メダルは大学からのルールで、彼と一番深い関係を築いてくれた人に贈らなければならないのだそうです。

それを私にくれたのです。

このメダルは、一生大切にします。

また、私がバスケットボールの大ファンであることを知っていた彼は、ソニックス（シアトルに2008年まであったバスケチーム）のグッズをプレゼントしてくれました。

可愛い

その代わりに私は、彼が日本に興味があり、日本語を勉強するために4ヶ月間日本に滞在する予定なのを知っていたので、日本の伝統的な手ぬぐいをあげました。

私たちは、英語と日本語で、お別れと感謝の言葉を交わしました。

私にとって感動的な瞬間でした。

でも、いい時間でした。

私はこの夜のことを一生覚えているでしょう。

Hi, I am glad to see you again.

Today, I went out with my friend for just a good time.

We left our dorm at 8am, which is so early for me.

And my friend drove for over 1 hour to his hometown.

Firstly, we got some breakfast at a restaurant called Dad's diner.

He told me that his parents go there once in a week.

The breakfast was so heavy, and very American.

I think the breakfast was over 1000 calories.

After that, we went to a spot where we can enjoy a beautiful scenery.

Then we went to a small island called Friday Harbor which is located in north Washington.

We did lots of things like eating some seafood, ice cream.

Additionally, we visited a secret spot where we could hear nothing except for the wave of ocean.

I think that was the greatest place I have ever visited in the US.

And we came back to Washington State.

After getting to our dorm, we went to U district for some drinks.

One of the surprising for me was that he gave me a small gold medal for me.

According to him, he received the medal from UW because he is a transfer student.

Following the rule of UW, he had to gave the medal to someone to who cultivated deepest relationship with him.

I will keep the medal till I die.

He also gave me a sonics stuff to me because he knew that I am a big fan of basketball.

In exchange for that, I gave him some traditional Japanese towels because he is interested in Japan and he will come to Japan for 4 month program to study Japanese.

We exchange some words like goodbye and thank you in English and also in Japanese.

That was an emotional moment for me.

That was good time though.

I will remember this night till the end of my life.
