「君は妻や子供は欲しいと思う？」
"Do you think you want a wife and children?"

「うーん、成り行きで縁があるならね。でも、その為にわざわざ探したりはしない」
"Well, if it just happens to be a connection. But I don't go out of my way to look for it."

「そうか…」
"Really…"

「君は？妻や子供を欲しい？」
"What about you? Do you want a wife and children?"

「もちろん、でも子供は求めていない」
"Of course, but I'm not looking for children."

「なぜ？」
"why?"

「この世界は悪い方向に進んでいる。これから生まれてくる子供が幸せになれるとは思えない」
"This world is moving in a bad direction.
I don't think the children who will be born in the future will be happy."

「なるほど…」
"I see…"

「君は歳を取るのが恐いかい？」
"Are you afraid of getting old?"

「いや恐くないね、老いる事は気にしない」
"No, I'm not scared, I don't mind getting old."

「ふむ…」
"Hmm…"

「じゃあ死は？いずれ死ぬ事に恐怖は感じない？」
"Then what about death? Aren't you afraid of dying someday?"

「感じないよ、毎日後悔しないように生きてるから」
"I don't feel it. I live every day trying not to regret it."

「そうか…」
"Really…"

「君は？死を恐いと思う？」
"What about you? Are you afraid of death?"

「うん、思うね。俺は死ぬ事が恐いし、歳を取って死が近づく事も恐い」
"Yeah, I think so. I'm scared of dying, and I'm also scared of getting old and getting closer to death."

「だから、長生きしたいと思っている」
“That’s why I want to live a long life.”

「皆は君みたいに強くない」
"Not everyone is as strong as you."

「そうか…」
"Really…"

「大金は？欲しいと思う？」
"A lot of money? Do you think you want it?"

「もちろん金は大事だし、多く持っているに越したことはないと思う」
"Of course money is important, and I think it's better to have more."


「でも金の欲求には限界がない。その思考に囚われると最終的に不幸になる」
"But the desire for money has no limits. If I get caught up in that mindset, I will end up unhappy."


「だから、あまり気にしない様にしている」
"That's why I try not to worry about it too much."

「金を得る事と同じくらい、金に縛られない方法を考える事が大事だと思う」
"I think it's just as important to think of ways to not be tied down by money as it is to earn money."

「そうか…君は正しいよ」
"I see... you're right."
