20代最後の新しい経験でボランティアをする（You can read this article in English)

本日はトルコの友達の誘いでfoodbankに行きました。

Estonian Food Bank

ボランティアは日本でも一度した事がありますが、
こういった種類のボランティアは初めてでした！

ラスナマエというタリン の中でも少しロシア系が多めなエリアに行き、
倉庫が並ぶ場所に行きました

これがToidu(food)Pank(bank)です。
チャリティー施設で、国籍も年齢もいろんな人がいました。

中に入ると人の出入りがかなり自由で、
特に何をしろとかも言われず、
みんなが自主的にやることを探して動いていました。

私の友達はベテランだったので
色んなものの在り処を知っていました。

まず、このエプロンを着て、
手袋とマスクを付けろと言われ指示通りに。

手袋は中国製だったので、
コロナを引き起こした国の物はちょっとねー
とか言っていましたが😀

ひたすら山積みになったレモンが入った段ボールの仕分けをしていました。

仕分け基準は腐っているかどうかだけ。

めっちゃ単純！
と思いながら、横で必死に作業をしてる友達を見ると
わいわい喋れる空気でもなかったので
ひたすら分けました。

腐ってるレモンを触った手できれい目なレモンを触ってもいいのかな、、と思いつつ
ひたすら分ける。

一箱20kgで25個の箱を仕分けしました！
結構つかれたー

腐ったレモンはbioのゴミ箱に入れたので
きっと土に戻すのだと思います。　

きれいめなレモンは必要とする人々に配られます。

他の野菜や果物も同じように仕分けされていて
パンや水、油など様々なものを配る準備をしていました。

今はコロナの検疫期間があったので一部のシステムが変わってしまったようでしたが、
普段の時期はかなり人が訪れ、
賞味期限切れになったものをもらいに来る人でいっぱいだったそうです。

エストニアでは賞味期限切れになった物が普通に売っているものだと思っていましたが
(賞味期限切れ専門のお店もあります)、
このfoodbankは賞味期限切れのものを市民に無料で提供しているのだということを知りました。

ドイツではスーパーが賞味期限切れのものが出ますとのことを、アプリかWEB上でかの何かで知らせて
予約してスーパーに欲しい人が取りに行くというシステムがあるそうです。

ただ、捨てるのではなく、
気にしないのなら誰かが食べて、少しでもゴミ箱行きを減らして無駄な消費を防ぎ地球環境に優しくなろう
というのがヨーロッパのエコな考え方なのかなと思いました。

終わった後は、友達が「君は世界のために良いことをしたんだよ！！！」とかなり賞賛してくれました。

特に人と話すことはなかったのですが、言葉が通じなくて黙々と作業を皆がこなしていくので、不思議な一体感を感じました。

最近の私は料理ばかり作ってるイメージになっているのですが、
エストニアのローカル事情も知りたいと言ってくれた人がいたので、
今回は映像を撮ることが出来ませんでしたが、
機会があれば、リーダーの方もとても英語が堪能な気さくな話しやすい方だったので
もう少し話を聞いてできれば撮影にもチャレンジしてみようかなと思います💡

意外とこの話をすると興味を持ってくれる人がいて嬉しいです❣️

20代最後にした良い行い＋良い経験になりました！

Today I went to foodbank at the invitation of a friend in Turkey.

I have done volunteer work once in Japan.
But I've never done this kind of volunteer before!

I went to the area called Lasnamäe which is Russian area.

The warehouse is the Toidu (food) Pank (bank).
It was a charity facility, and there were people of various nationalities and ages.

When you go inside, you can go and inside freely.
They didn't tell me what to do,
Everyone was looking for something to do by their self.

My friend was used to come there,
So I could know where many things were.

First, put on an apron.

I was told to wear gloves and a mask, and I followed the instructions.

The gloves were made in China.

I was just sorting out cardboard boxes with a pile of lemons.

The only criterion for sorting is whether it is rotten or not.

It's so simple!
I saw my friend working hard beside me.
It wasn't a good place to chat.
I just divided them.

I had only one question.

I was wondering if I could touch the good lemons with my hand that touched the rottens lemon.

I sorted 25 boxes of 20 kg each!
I'm  tired.

I put the rotten lemons in the bio trash can.
I think them will be returned to the soil.

Good lemons are distributed to those who need them.

Other vegetables and fruits are sorted in the same way,
they prepared to send various things such as bread, water and oil.

There was a quarantine period in Corona , so some systems seemed to have changed.
A lot of people come at the usual time.
The reason why is that people come to get expired food.

I thought that expired foods were sold normally in Estonia.
(There is a store that specializes in expired food.),
I found out that this foodbank is offering expired food to citizens for free.

In Germany, a supermarket informs you by an application or something on the web that some food will be out of date.
I heard that there is a system that people who want to make a reservation go to the supermarket to get it.

But instead of throwing it away,
If you don't mind, let someone eat it and make it even a little less wasteful, and more environmentally friendly.
I thought that was the ecological way of thinking in Europe.

After the working was over, my friend praised me saying, "You did good for the world!!!".

I didn't talk to anyone in particular, but I felt a strange sense of unity because everyone was working silently without communicating in language.

Recently,
Some people said they wanted to know about the local situation in Estonia.
I was not able to take a mov this time.
If I have a chance, I 'd like to try to take mov.

The leader was also very good at English and easy to talk with.

I'M HAPPY THAT SOMEONE WOULD BE INTERESTED IN THIS STORY ❣️

It was a good behavior and experience for me last 20's.
