Cultural difference

During the last three-day holiday, we traveled to the Tohoku region.

When we got to the Shinkansen bullet train, a foreign traveler was about to sit on ours. The seats' numbers were 6A and 6B.
I asked him, " Excuse me, probably these are our seats." He mattered "9!" and left. 

If we Japanese made the same mistake, we say, "Oh, sorry, I mistook!" or something, but he left without apology. I was shocked.

文化の違い

こんにちは。皆さんいかがお過ごしですか？Gentle Gianです。

先日の三連休、私たちは東北地方に旅行しました。

私達が新幹線に乗り込むと、外国人観光客が私達の席、６Aと６Bに座ろうとしていました。

彼に「あのぅ、たぶんだけど、そこ、私達の席だと思う。」と声をかけると。「９！」と呟いて立ち去りました。

私達日本人が同じような間違いをしたら、「ごめんなさい。間違えました。」などと言うと思うんだけど、彼は誤りもせずに立ち去ったのでびっくりでした。
