“ウタヨミビト”の1stシングル『桜の花』は、平安初期の歌物語「伊勢物語」の中で詠まれた日本の春を代表する“桜”の和歌をモチーフに、それぞれの歌を巧みに紡ぎ合わせ現代語訳した作品。
サウンドは郷愁感“サウダージ(サウダーデ)”溢れるポルトガルを代表する音楽“ファド”をベースに、沖縄の三線由来な新たな楽器”四線”の音色を融合。
“ポルトガルギター(ギターラ・ポルトゲッサ)”の響きと相まって、ユーラシア大陸を遠く最東端・最西端に隔てた二つのカルチャーをクロスオーバーした音楽を情感豊かに繰り広げます。

Music arrangement of this song is based on Portuguese popular music "fado" that has nostalgia and melancholy called "Saudade".
We play it by the Portuguese guitar called "Guitarra Portuguesa" and also use the Okinawan-Japanese new music instrument "Yonshin" which is developed from traditional Sanshin to crossover the far eastern music culture.
These lyrics sung in Japanese are improvised from the Japanese poetry called "tanka".
The motif of this song is beautiful cherry blossoms which was described in classical literary work "Isemonogatari".
