今回はエストニアでのアパート探しについて。
経済の中心タリンに住んでいましたが
学問と文化の街タルトゥへのお引越しです！

すてきなオーナーと出会ったお話です◎

アパート探しは、基本的にいくつかある不動産物件のホームページを見ます。きっと不動産屋さんがどこかにあると思いますが。

タリンで住んでいたアパートは、
「サウナがある！」ということで即決定。
見学へ行ったその日に契約をしました。

アパート探しなんて余裕♪

と思っていたら、解約1週間前になっても、
次に住む家がないという自体に。

苦難のアパート探し

①電話に出ない。メール返信なし。
②エストニア語かロシア語しか受け入れない。
③時期がエストニアの新学期とかぶる。

まず、メールは返ってきませんでした。
電話をしても誰も出ないことが多く、心が何度も折れました。

電話に出てくれた！！
（出た！じゃなくて、出てくれた！的な。笑）
となっても、私は日本語と少しの英語しか話せないので、話ができない。仲介者が英語で対応してくれても、オーナーが受け入れてくれないこともありました。

半分以下の確率で電話に出てくれて、

そのまた半分の確率で英語対応してくれて、

そのまた半分の確率で日本人を受け入れる。

遂に！！！
と思うと、予約済み。。。
予約済みの物件がずっと並んでいることも。
そして運悪く、8月末の移動はエストニアの新学期とかぶっていました。私が見つけたアパートは、もちろん他の人たちも見学していて、どんどん決まっていってしまいました。

すると、
1人のオーナーから直接電話がかかってきました。
「何組か見学しに来るから、あなたが住めるか分からないけど、一度見においで」という連絡でした。

そこのアパートには、30件ほどのオファーがあったそうですが、そこから見学を許されたのは4組。私は何と、その4組に選ばれていたのでした。

メールがとても丁寧だったから、と。

結局、そのアパートに住むことはできなかったのですが、その彼のおかげで新しく住むアパートを見つけることができました。

彼からのメールです。

Thank you for visiting me. It was my first time communicating with Japanese people and I'm totally amazed by your sincerity and politeness. You are representing your country and culture in the best possible way. 
As I mentioned, I had to make a tough decision. All the candidates were very strong and it was extremely difficult to pick one. I said that I'd let you know not later than Tuesday, but I actually already have an answer and I didn't want to keep you waiting for it. 
To the point: I'm sad to say that but I've chosen an estonian couple as my next tenants. They offered me a 4 year rental period and they are a really nice young couple - a school teacher and a scientist.
But, as I already said, I was really touched by your sincerity and that made my decision so much harder. You mentioned that you were turned down by other people for not speaking estonian. I would like to help you with that and if you are interested then I'm offering my help in communicating with other apartement owners for you. I don't want anything for that - I just want to help you finding a nice place to live.

I apologise for not choosing you and if you want my free help then I'm all yours.
