#9 The Sun also Shines [PART2. Germany] ep.II "Autobahn"

Februrary 2017, high in the sky above Russia ―――

The first Spaniard I met speaks Japanese fluently.
Angel ordered a cup of Tomatensaft (tomate juice) without salt on a Lufthansa departured from Osaka, arriving into Frankfurt.

Germany is the first country to visit in Europe.

This travel is organized by the university for German learners, in which students go to language school for three weeks and staying at German family's home. It was a program from the middle of February to March during the spring vacation of my second year in uni. It is about a half year after [PART1. Indonesia].

Let's see how well my instant German which I had learned for two years (it didn't work at all).

I stayed in Lutherstadt-Wittenberg where Martin Luther, who conducted the Religion Revolution five years ago, lived with his wife, Katharina.

We flew from New Chitose Airport to transit in Kansai International Airport, and to Frankfurt Airport. Then we took a domestic line to Leipzig. From the airport in Leipzig, we took a car, and went slowly through the Autobahn at 120km/h.

This sort of highway in Germany, "Autobahn", needless to say, has no speed limit. "Auto" means "car" in German, and "Bahn" means "way", thus it means "roadway". People living in regions where it snows in Japan ofthen use a word "アイスバーン(Eisbahn)" which means "icy road".
