愛には恐れがない。完全な愛は恐れをとり除く。
恐れには懲らしめが伴い、かつ恐れる者には、愛が全うされていないからである。

1.完全な愛は恐れをとり除く:
信仰者は神の愛を受けています。この愛は完全で、恐れを取り除します。私たちは他人に対しても同じ愛を持ち、恐れや偏見を捨てることができます。
2.懲らしめと愛の対比:
恐れには懲らしめが伴います。しかし、神の愛は懲らしめではなく、癒しと赦しをもたらします。信仰者は他人に対しても同じように懲らしめではなく、愛と赦しを示すことができます。

2. Contrast chastening with love: fear entails chastening. But God's love is not chastening; it brings healing and forgiveness. The believer can show the same love and forgiveness, not chastisement, to others.
3. Practicing love in the life of the believer: Practicing love of neighbor is a way to overcome fear and to fulfill love. We can practice love by forgiving the wrongs of others and by doing acts of kindness.
4. Living rooted in God's love: Believers are called to live rooted in God's love. Those who have received God's love can show the same love to others.
I pray that I may put my fear aside and put God's love into practice.
