Finally, we got to Pokemon!/ついにポケモンにたどり着いた

My eldest daughter has been interested in TV since she was about a year and a half old, and she still calls it Tebiri maybe because I taught her to call it Tebiri or she misspoke. It doesn’t matter but I was interested in what kind of content children are interested in when they grow up. Japanese animation in particular is world-famous and there is a lot of it, so as a parent, I wanted to quickly introduce them to it and have her enjoy it. For example, I wondered when they would start to enjoy Doraemon and Chibimaruko-chan, and I wanted her to enjoy them as soon as possible. This is because it makes me feel good to see the excitement in a child's eyes when they discover something amazing like anime they discover for the first time. 

After all, She was not interested in Doraemon and Chibimaruko-chan at all first as she did not know the language. From the age of one and a half to three years old, she used to watch cartoons from Chu Chu TV, an American YouTube video site, Polori from Korea, and Shimajirō. For some reason, she was not very interested in Anpanman which is very popular with early age children. In kindergarten, she started watching Pretty Cure and Spongebob Squarepants, and finally Doraemon, Crayon Shin-chan, and Chibi Maruko-chan. She also used to watch 123Go on YouTube. As she entered the first grade, she lost interest in Pretty Cure, but she still has loved Spongebob Squarepants, and I can say that it was her favorite content of all time.

She started playing video games, and she also liked Mario, and started watching live video games on Yotuube. She is watching Hikakin's videos now as well before I knew it. I don't know where she found it, but recently she started watching Pokemon. I think it's probably due to the influence of her friends at school. I felt that my daughter had finally reached Pokémon, and I could see her growth in the transition of TV anime content.

My mom often gets upset with her for watching too much Teviri, but when I see her watching it with great interest, I wonder if she can make use of the grear interest in some way, like the proverb, "What one likes, one will do well.”. Tebiri has helped us a lot in raising oldest daughter because it makes her quiet, but now my eldest daughter can be seen as restless because of it. Incidentally, my second daughter, who is one year and four months old, still seems to have little interest in Tebiri. Should I let her watch Tebiri or not? At the moment, we are trying not to rely on Tebiri as much as we did with my first daughter.

長女は1歳半くらいからテレビに興味を持ち始め、テレビのことをテビリと教えたのか、じぶんでいい間違えたのか今でもテレビのことをテビリと呼んでいる。それはどうでもいいのだが、子供が成長するとどういったコンテンツに興味を持つかというのには関心があった。特に日本のアニメは世界的に有名でたくさんあるから、親としてははやく紹介して楽しんでほしいというのがあった。例えば、ドラえもんやちびまる子ちゃんはいつから楽しむだろうかという疑問とはやく楽しんでほしいという気持ちがあった。というのも子供がものすごい物を発見した時の目を大きくして興奮する姿がこちらを気持ちよくさせるからだ。

やはり、言葉がわからない頃はドラえもんやちびまる子ちゃんは全くもって興味なかった。変遷としては、一歳半から三歳くらいまでは、アメリカのYouTube動画のChu Chu TVのアニメや、韓国のポロリ、そしてしまじろうをよく見ていた。アンパンマンにはなぜかあまり興味はなかった。幼稚園の年少からはプリキュア、スポンジポブ、年長からはドラえもんがついに出てきて、クレヨンしんちゃん、ちびまる子ちゃんも見るようにもなった。他にはYouTube で123Goなんかもよく見ていた。一年生になると、プリキュアは興味無くなっていったが、依然スポンジポブは好きで、歴代で最も好きな期間が長いコンテンツと言える。

ゲームをやり始めて、マリオも好きで、Yotuubeでゲーム実況を見るようにもなった。そして、ヒカキンさんの動画もいつのまにか見ていた。どこで見つけたのか最近ではポケモンも見るようになった。おそらく学校での友達の影響もあるも思う。ついにポケモンまで来たかと娘の成長をテレビアニメのコンテンツの変遷で感じたのであった。

テビリの見過ぎでママによく怒られているが、自分としてはあのものすごい興味津々で見ている姿を見ると「好きはものの上手なれ」のことわざのように何かに活かせないだろうかと考えてしまう。おとなしくなるので子育てでテビリに大変助けてもらったが、その分、今、長女は落ち着きがないとも見られる。ちなみに一歳四カ月の次女はまだほとんどテビリに興味はないようである。テビリを見させるべきか見させないべきか。今のところ長女の時ほどテビリには頼らないようにする方針である。
