編纂記 #6　第一回品詞調査

さて、前回の問題の解説を忘れていましたね。

為になる"かもしれない"ので読んでない人は読んでおきましょう。
ということで、

■前回の解説

自分でもかなり難しい問題を作ってしまったとは思った。
自分の意見を交える場合は客観的視点を要するものとは考え方が少し違う(人によるかも)。あくまでこれは僕の書き方である。

①意見の整理/鉛筆派意見
・折れたら面倒、だが折れにくい
・書き心地が良い
・自由度が高い(濃さ、太さなど)
②これ以外の選択肢についての意見/肯定と否定
・シャーペンは複雑な構造で壊れることがある
・書きやすさが追求されているものもある
・その反面、良くない製品もそこそこある
(鉛筆はどれもそこそこ使いやすい)

解答例にしては随分、意味のわからない説得力のない文章になりそうだが問題はそこじゃない。

・(3)英語解答例

I think pencils are better than mechanical pencils.
This is because it's lead is hard to break.
If a mechanical pencil breaks , you can immediately take out lead , 
But instead it will break immediately(Depending on the product).
And mechanical pencils have a complicated structure and can break.
Recently , there are also products that are designed to be easy to write with ,
But I feel that pencils are more comfortable to write with than mechanical pencils.Some mechanical pencils with such complicated structures are very difficult to use , depending on the product.
The most attractive feature of a pencil is its flexibility.Unlike mechanical pencils , the thickness of a pencil can be changed by sharpening , 
And there is a wide range of thicknesses.
For this reason , I recommend the use of pencils.

かなり雑な英文なので間違っているところがありそうだ。
だがだいたいこんな感じ。
最近、あまりやってないせいかできなくなった中国語も一応載せておく。・

我认为铅笔比机械铅笔好。
这是因为铅笔难以被断。
如果机械铅笔断了，你可以马上取出铅。 
然而，它们很马上断（取决于产品）。
机械铅笔的结构也很复杂，可能会断裂。
最近，一些产品被设计为更容易书写。
然而，我觉得铅笔比机械铅笔更容易书写。
铅笔的主要吸引力在于其灵活性。
你可以通过削改变铅笔的厚度。
而且有很多阴影变化。
所以我推荐使用铅笔。

■品詞解析

やっと本題。残念ながら今日も平日なので手短にまとめていく。
ということで、先程作った文章を解析する。語彙集を編纂するという最終目標を目指すにあたって、"どの品詞がどのくらい出てくるのか"や"最重要語の頻出度"について考える必要があると感じた。そのために一旦、適当に作った文に出てきた単語を全て、品詞分解してみようと思った。
さて、もう一度さっきの文を見てみよう。

システムをを使えば一瞬で整理できるとは思ったがExcelを開くのすら面倒だった。そして逆に時間をかける選択をしてしまった。

そのうち約36%がpencilを含む名詞

・極小考察欄

あくまでもこの文だけの話だが、副詞と形容詞がだいたい同比率なのが面白かった。また、今回は代名詞への置き換えを控えて文を作るようにしたがこの結果から一つの話題に絞って英文を書いた場合に３割がその話題に直接関係がある語だというのがわかった。その比率についてネイティブの文を収集して今後、検証していたい。また動詞の3割がbe動詞というのもそんなもんだとは思いつつも驚いた。ここから、言語学習の際のコピュラ動詞(説明は割愛)の重要性が伺えた。今後も検証を続け、正しい結果を得るべき興味深い実験ができた。今日は一旦ここで終わりとするが、次回以降は一番のこの実験の目的である最重要語の頻出度についても議論していきたい。
