「あたしたちの役割ってさ、今、目の前にいる選手を応援することだよね」

「そう。少しでも鼓舞して、ベストを尽くして頑張ることを支えるのが役目」

　でも、と私は思う。私が応援してるチームが勝ったとしても、それは選手たちの努力の賜物。私たちはそれを後押ししたに過ぎない。感謝してくれる人もいるけれども、私たちが主役になることはない。それに、私たちチアガールを応援してくれる人なんていやしない。

　私は勇気を振り絞って、自分の正直な思いを、他のチアガールたちに伝えることにした。

「私たちが頑張って応援しても、私たちは誰からも応援してもらえないよね。なんか虚しくなることはない？」

　チアリーダーがこたえた。

「私たちの役割はね、『いま』この瞬間を盛り上げることなの。そうすることで、この瞬間が光に包まれる。過去も未来のご利益も断捨離してるようなもの。『今ここ』を輝かせるために」

「今ここ = now + here = nowhereだね」

I don't think, however, that we ourselves will be heroes for ever. Nobody will never ever pay attention to us. 

I mustered up courage and said to other cheer girls, "However hard we support players, we will get nowhere, for we ourselves will not be supported by anybody." 

My cheerleader answered, "We must concentrate our power on things going on now. By so doing, this moment will be brighter. We have nothing to do with the past profit nor the future profit." 

I thought that "now plus here" means "nowhere", though. But it is OK because "nowhere" is equivalent to "utopia."
