Today,
I read an article about "rival".

"rival" means
"a person, group, or organization that you compete with in sport, business, a fight etc"

It is originally latin word"rivalis" means "People who use water from the same river".

You know,
"rival" resembles "river" very much.
"rival" and "river" have the same origin!


同じ川の水を使う者同士、奪い合わずに競い合うべし
