Two Faces
About ten days ago, I happened to find this TV drama called "ダブルチート" on YouTube.
(約10日前、YouTubeで「ダブルチート」というテレビドラマを見つけました)
Every night I usually explore several videos and pick out one video to watch over dinner.
(毎晩、数本の動画を見て、夜ごはんを食べながら見る動画を1本選びます)
At that night, I couldn't find anything that made me feel like watching.
(その夜は、見たいと思うものが何も見つかりませんでした)
"ダブルチート" was about 60 minutes long.
（"ダブルチート" は約60分間ありました）
I didn't want to waste the time on something I wasn't so sure if it was interesting or not, but I ended up giving it a go after 30 minutes of searching for other videos.(面白いかどうかはっきりしないものに時間を浪費したくありませんでしたが、他の動画を30分ほど探した結果、結局見てみることにしました)
From the thumbnail image of the video, I learned that it was the very first episode. (If it had been the second episode or something, I wouldn't have decided to watch.)
(その動画のサムネイル画像から、第1話であることを知りました：もしそれが第2話などだったら、私は見ることを決めなかったでしょう)
10 minutes after I started watching it, I found myself getting intrigued by the show.
(見始めて10分後、その番組にどんどん魅かれていくのがわかりました)
As the story went on, I learned that the main character Osamu Mukai playing has two faces.
(物語が進むにつれて、向井理さんが演じる主人公が2つの顔を持っていることを知りました)
Officially, he's a police officer and offers public service to citizens, but surprisingly, it turned out that he is a con artist at the same time.
(表向きには、警察官で市民に公共サービスを提供していますが、驚くべきことに、同時に詐欺師でもあるということがわかりました)
Why he has turned out to live this way hasn't been revealed yet, but there was a acene that tells you something dark, sad and tragic happened to him in the past and that has led him to who he is today.
(なぜ彼がこのように生きるようになったのかはまだ明らかにされていませんが、彼の過去に暗く、悲しい、悲劇的な出来事があったことを示す場面があり、それが彼を今のようにさせたと思われます)
After watching the first episode, I felt like watching the whole episodes, so I googled the TV show to see if there were some ways to do that.
(第1話を見た後、全エピソードを見たいと思い、そのための方法があるかどうか検索してみました)
Right after I put the title of the show in the search bar, I found its its official website.
(番組のタイトルを入力した直後、公式ウェブサイトを見つけました)
What I learned there was that the TV show just started on "テレ東" and the latest episode aired on May 3rd.
(そこで分かったことは、そのテレビ番組が「テレ東」で始まったばかりで、最新のエピソードは5月3日に放送されたことでした)
I went back to YouTube again hoping to find the episode, but it wasn't there.(再びYouTubeに戻ってその話を見つけようとしましたが、見つかりませんでした)
I revisited the website and took a closer look at it, and then discovered that "テレ東" has an app and the episode is available on the app.
(ウェブサイトに戻りよく見てみると、「テレ東」にはアプリがあり、その話がアプリで視聴できることを発見しました)
I downloaded the app right away because I knew that they will stop playing the episode in a few weeks.
(数週間後には、その話の再生が停止されるとわかったので、すぐにアプリをダウンロードしました)
I've just checked it out, but his struggles in the past hasn't turned out to be clear yet.
(その話を見てみましたが、彼の過去の苦しみはまだ明らかになっていませんでした)
Also, lots of things about him has still remained mysterious, so I'll definitely keep watching the show in order to find out.
(また、彼についての多くのことがまだ謎のままです。なので、それを知るために番組を続けて見るつもりです)

❶be intrigued (興味をひかれる)
I was intrigued by the mysterious plot of the movie and couldn't stop watching.

The thumbnail of the video caught my attention and made me want to click on it.

Officially, the store closes at 9 p.m., but sometimes they stay open later.
（正式には、その店は午後9時に閉店しますが、時々、もっと遅くまで開いています）
❹Google (インターネットで検索する）
I googled the recipe for lasagna and found several different versions.
（ラザニアのレシピをネット検索し、いくつかの異なるバージョンのレシピを見つけました）
❺Mysterious (謎めいた)
The old house on the hill has a mysterious past that locals talk about.
（丘の上のその古い家には、地元の人々が話す謎めいた過去があります）
