My experiences in NZ #15
Hello, there.
I’d love to continue from where I ended last time.
I mentioned the two weeks extension of my language school in the last blog, and I was continuing job hunting after school.
As I wrote in my previous blog, some students attended a weekend tour.
I also went on a two days trip with my two classmates, who were Japanese female university students and visited NZ for Short-term study abroad during their spring vacation.
We visited Paihia, about forty-five minutes flight from Auckland, and stayed at “dolfin motel.”
In his 40s or 50s, the owner looked like the Japanese comedian Mitsuo Senda and was very friendly to us; he invited us to his home next to our cottage and let us play video games.
We could swim in the heated pool at night and see the southern cross; it was our first experience, and we were impressed since it was so beautiful.
On the next day, we took a tour to see dolphins.
Although I was suffering from seasickness, luckily, we could see a group of dolphins.
It was also our first experience.
Since seeing the dolphins was the purpose of our trip, we were all moved and satisfied.
I was curious if the dolphin motel still exists, and I googled it and found it.
However, the exterior had changed from we stayed, and I hope the friendly owner still stays healthy.
That’s all for today, and to be next time.
See you around.
