          Spotted a word choice error on a sign for an elevator.  It’s guessable, so not so “lost in translation” there — but it did make us wonder how they arrived at that word choice!  地下鉄の駅にあった、「地上行きエレベーター」のサイン。  surface は「表面」や「水面」という意味なので
