How to use the self-serve food bar 〜量り売りのお惣菜屋さんのサインの作り方〜

The sign at the self-serve osozai (Japanese deli) bar had English translations, but was unfortunately a bit off.

We occasionally see non-Japanese-speaking customers at the shop, and the staff members trying their best to assist them in English.

So, we thought that an improved version of their bilingual sign might be of help—to the customers AND the staff!

量り売りのお惣菜屋さんで見つけた日⇔英バイリンガルのサイン。タイポと文法の間違いが目立ち、意味が分かりにくくなってしまっています。👀

そこで、以下、ご提案です！

Select containar.

お好きなものをお好きなだけお取りください。
Take as much as you want.

レジで計り、蓋をさせていただきます。
Measured and put on lid at a cashier.

A) Take the filled container to the cashier.
B) Take it to the cashier for payment and packaging.

ちなみに、お惣菜はどれもとっても美味しそうなのですが、それぞれのメニューについて、英語の説明表記はありませんでした。ただ、お惣菜はそのまま器に盛ってあるので、what you see is what you get = 「見た目通りのものを得る」で、大体の材料はわかりそうですね！

(そして細かいですが…日本語の「下さい」と「ください」も統一した方が良いと思いました！)
