#10 The Sun also Shines [PART2. Germany] ep.II "G o a l"

Host-father welcomed me with a warm and calmed smile.

I put my lagguage in a room and entered to a living room. Tall host-mother and one of their daughter, probably 20s, were holding glasses of red wine sitting on a sofa.

He asked me if I want a cup of tea, and I said ja (yes), then asked me cold or warm one. It was bit chilly outside, but I carried the stairs all the way up, so I wanted a cold one, but German family's elegant posture wiped out the word "kalt (cold)". I enjoyed a cup of hot tea feeling sweat running down my neck.

Few days later, my brain turned into "German mode", and until when eight-year-old Sofi showed me a dance wearing Erdbeere (strawberry) dress, I was able to taste my favorite kinds of tea.

The family likes tea so much that they always prepares two kind of them. Sometimes they had juice on a table, but maybe because of concerns regarding health, any sort of snack was never seen.

I heard that German people are usually divided into two groups for many things. Wine or beer. Coffee or tea. This family obviously loved wine and tea. Sofi goes to her bed around nine, then we adults start to have wine.

Sofi showed me a piece of paper which she wrote her goals for a year on. "Important thing" is "Family's health". "G o a l" is "Not to have fight". "Looking forward" is "Nine-year-old birthday".
