また、約束をして下さったのは忠実なかたであるから、
わたしたちの告白する望みを、動くことなくしっかりと持ち続け、
へブル10：23【口語訳】
 
let’s hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering;
for he who promised is faithful.

信仰者は、神に愛され神の子とされた確信をもって人生の使命を遂行します。
Believers carry out their life's mission with the confidence
that they are loved by God and made children of God.

この聖句は、信仰者が、自分の信仰生活の中で、神が約束した救いを信じることで、希望を持ち続けることができるということを教えています。
信仰者は、自分が神の子であるということを信じることができます。
この信仰は、自分が罪を犯していると感じたとき、自分を赦し、自分を愛することができるようになるための力となります。
神が自分を愛して、イエス・キリストの十字架の血が、自分の罪の身代わりになり死んでくださったという信仰に導かれ、神の子とされたと確信できるからです。
そして神は真実な方であり約束を守る方でり、神の賜物を用い使命を遂行する力を与え助けてくださると信じるからです。
私は、与えられた賜物を用いて使命をやり遂げることができる希望をもちたいと祈ります。
 
This scripture teaches that the believer can maintain hope by believing in God's promise of salvation in his or her life of faith.
The believer can believe that he or she is a child of God.
This faith empowers him to forgive himself and to love himself when he feels he has sinned.
For he can be sure that he is made a child of God, guided by the faith that God loves him and that the blood of the cross of Jesus Christ died in place of his sins.
I believe that God is true, that He keeps His promises, and that He gives me the power to use His gifts to help me carry out my mission.
I pray to have hope that I can use the gifts I have been given to accomplish my mission.
