#3 チベットタンカ絵師という生き方
天路の旅人と同じ時、同じ土地で生きた日本人
Kenji Babasaki
Born in 1952 Japan
Graduate from KEIO University of Political Sciences
Since 1977 living in India, Dharamsalla
painting-Tibetan Thangkas.
.
Now, he holds exhibitions once in every two years in Tokyo.
While backpacking around the world as a university student, he came to India and encountered Tibetan thangka and Champa La, who would later become his master. Instead of finding a job in Japan, he lived in India and trained as a Thangka painter as a disciple of Mr. Champa La. After that, he lived in India for almost 40 years.
His life as the only Japanese Thangka painter and his continued life in India had a great influence on our life as well.
We pay our utmost respect to the great Mr. Champa La and Kenji Babasaki.
