今日の英語ニュースから [2023.02.23]

この番組には英語字幕がついていますが、誤りや省略が少なくありません(特に週末版は多いです。それ以外の日も番組後半は多め)。約1時間の番組ですが、実際に英語音声を聞きながら、字幕の明らかな誤りをすべて訂正し、ニュース英語や時事英語の独特な表現など気になった語句の説明を加えて、字幕ファイルを作りました(書き加えた説明は[*  ] )。

動画サイトの字幕が変だなと思った時、この字幕ファイルで謎が解けるかもしれません ^^

I'm not sure we need a bill for much of this. I want to applaud the agencies that are starting to step up in this area. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has stepped up and said, what do you mean you're charging $30 for a late credit card fee -- credit card payment? There's not much additional risk associated with that. I think that should be down around $8.
