なんといっても今ここになにかが在ることが良いと思う。
but I think it's good that something exists here and now, after all.

なにが在るのかは知らぬが、とにかくなにかが在るようだ。
I don't know what it is, but something seems to exist anyway.

例えば今、打鍵する私の目の前に私の手首が在り、そこに腕時計が巻かれている。

白い文字盤の上に銀の二針が旋回する。

秒針はなく、分針と時針は音もなく文字盤を舐めるように旋回する。

I've never worn a smartwatch.

アップルウォッチが常時点灯を設定できるようになったとはいえ、ディスプレイ上のピクセルによって運針を表示するならば、その時の流れは離散的だ。
Even though the Apple Watch can now be set to always-on, the passage of time is discrete if the hands are shown by pixels on the display.

だが現実の時は連続的だ。
But in reality, time is continuous.

おそらく創世の時から現在にいたるまで、片時も絶え間なく、現実に時は連続する。
Perhaps from the time of creation to the present, time is continuous in reality, without a single moment of interruption.

それを表現するのは、現実の真円の白い文字盤上に旋回する、現実の銀の針だ。
It is represented by the silver hands of reality turning on the white dial of a perfect circle of reality.

そして現実の銀の針の旋回は時そのものだ。
And the act of rotating of the silver hands of reality is time itself.

そのことが私にはとても嬉しい。
I am very happy about that.

本当に、いとおしい、と思う。
I think it's really cute.

腕時計と、私の手首と、銀の針と白い文字盤と、時と、そしてなにかが在ることがいとおしい。
My watch, my wrist, the silver hands, the white dial, the flow of time, and the fact that something exists are cute.
