In December 2020 and January 2021, a British research company surveyed approximately 13,000 people aged 16 to 74 years in 15 countries, including Japan, the United States, and China, and asked if they would like to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. According to an international comparative survey conducted in 15 major countries around the world, the number of people requesting COVID-19 vaccination increased from December last year to January this year in all the countries surveyed. However, compared to other countries, the percentage of people surveyed in Japan who strongly desire COVID-19 vaccination was the lowest.

Regarding the COVID-19 vaccine, COVID-19 vaccination has been started in various parts of each country. However, conflicts have been acknowledged to compete for the COVID-19 vaccine. In a survey conducted around November 2020, people in each country were hesitant to get the COVID-19 vaccine. However, in the survey conducted in January 2021, the people of each country, has become the attitude that you want to immediately inoculated with COVID-19 vaccine.

In particular, in Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom, where COVID-19 vaccination began, a significant increase of 20 points or more was observed for active applicants for COVID-19 vaccination. In the aggressive rate of seekers of COVID-19 vaccination, Brazil (68%), and was higher the UK (66%) are observed.

Among the Japanese people, the point of active applicants for COVID-19 vaccination was 17%, which was the lowest in the countries surveyed. Many Japanese people are concerned about side effects after COVID-19 vaccination. In Japan, there are proceedings regarding adverse events after HPV vaccination. It is clear that Japan is an underdeveloped country when it comes to vaccination.

The Japan Government must establish a medical system that provides medical care and treatment for adverse events observed after vaccination.
