高橋慎一監督の作品上映会と写真展とトークショーに行って来ました

I've watched the screening and photo exhibition of movie works by Mr. Shinichi Takahashi who is the movie director and photographer and reportage writer , and the talking show with Mr. Seiji Kumagai who is he photographer at Art Studio Nazukari Warehouse in Nagareyama City which is my local .

I've watched " Cu-Bop - Across theborder - " on 2018 and " The Fools - Song of fools - " today .

In the second Cu-Bop production in 2018, many musicians who had traveled to the US during the US economic sanctions due to their dissatisfaction with the Cuban regime at the time were living in New York and other places, singing and playing instruments such as the piano. Their singing and playing were full of heart and soul, and I thought it was truly wonderful!

In last year's work on The Fools, I talked about how they have been active as an indie punk rock band for 44 years since their debut, despite several arrests for the lead singer's drug use, the sudden deaths of several members including the lead singer, and the band itself going on hiatus several times. I thought their punk rock, full of freedom, love and soul, was truly powerful and amazing.

During the talk show with Mr. Takahashi and Mr. Kumagai , I was glad to have the opportunity to hear a variety of valuable stories, mainly about films including Takahashi's three works, Cuban music, rock music, photography, and book writing !

地元の流山市のアートスタジオ名都借ウェアハウスで映画監督・写真家・ルポライターの高橋慎一さんの映画作品の上映会と写真展、写真家の熊谷聖司さんとのトークショーを観てきました。

今日は２０１８年の「キューバップ～アクロス・ザ・ボーダー～」と昨年の「ザ・フールズ～愚か者たちの歌～」を観てきました。

２０１８年のCu-Bopの第２作品目ではアメリカによる経済制裁の最中、当時のキューバ政権に対する不満でアメリカに渡った多くのミュージシャン達がニューヨークなどで生活しながら歌やピアノなどの楽器の演奏を披露していて、彼らの歌や演奏は心と魂がこもっていて、本当に素晴らしかったと思います！

ザ・フールズをテーマにした昨年の作品ではボーカルのドラッグをめぐる数回の逮捕、ボーカルを含むメンバー数名の突然の訃報、バンド自体の数回の活動休止を含め、彼らはデビューから４４年間インディーズのパンクロックバンドとして活動していますが、彼らの自由と愛と魂のこもったパンクロックは本当に力強くて素晴らしいなと思いました。

高橋監督と熊谷さんとのトークショーでは高橋監督による３つの作品を含む映画、キューバ音楽やロックなどの音楽、写真、本の執筆を中心に色々貴重なお話を聞くことができて良かったと思っています！
