16日目 The 16th Day - 語学勉強の勉強コツと勉強法 Study tips and methods for language study

私は高校を卒業してから色々な言語を勉強してきました。
I have been learning different languages since I graduated from high school. 

高校を卒業した後、日本語を勉強し始めました。そして大学でスペイン語とドイツ語を勉強したことがあります。今は韓国語を勉強してます。
I started to learn Japanese after I graduated from high school. Then, I learned Spanish and German in the university. Now I am learning Korean.

今日は勉強のコツや勉強法をシェアしていきたいと思います。
Therefore, I would like to share some study tips and methods today.

まず、語学勉強においては、使うことが一番大事です。
First, it is very important to use the language when it comes to language study.

インプットしかないと流暢に話せないです。
If there is only input, you can't speak a language fluently.

日本語を勉強してた時は、たくさん使ってました。日本語でSNSで投稿してました。日本語があまりわからなくても携帯の言語を日本語にしました。
When I was learning Japanese, I used it a lot. I used Japanese whenever I post on social media. Even though I couldn't understand a lot of Japanese, I changed my phone language into Japanese.

日本語を使わない環境にいるので、日本語を使う環境を作りました。
As I am not in a place where Japanese is mainly used, I created a Japanese environment for myself.

でも、ただ使うだけで上達させられるわけじゃないです。賢く使わないとダメです。
However, you can't brush up a language by just using it. You have to use it wisely.

例えば、勉強した言葉を使ったり、勉強してる言語を使った後ネイティブの方に直してもらったりします。
For example, use the words or phrases that you have learned. After using the language you are learning, let the native speakers to correct your mistakes. 

日本語だけではなく、他の言語も同じです。
Not only Japanese, but also the same for other languages.

使わないと忘れちゃうし、間違ってるとわからないです。
If you don't use the language, you will forget it and you won't know you are making mistakes

それから、単語帳の書き方も大事です。
Second, the way of writing a glossary is very important too.

多くの人は、単語帳に、単語とその単語の訳をしか書いてないです。
Many people only write the vocabulary and its translation in their glossary.

でも例文を書かないと、使い方がわからないです。
But if you don't write an example sentence, you don't know how to use it correctly.

あと、できる勉強してる言語で意味を書いてください。
Also, always write the definition in the source language if you can.

類義語がたくさんあるので、同じ訳の言葉もたくさんあります。
Since there are a lot of synonyms, you will find that many words share the same translation.

勉強してる言語の定義を読まないと、類義語の小さい違いがわからないです。
If you don't read the definition in the source language, you can't identify the slight differences between the synonyms.

結局、勉強してる言語を使うことに戻りました。定義を書く時も使いましょう。
And it comes back to the main point of learning a new language . Use it when you write a definition of a word too.
