こんにちは。

There was an American presidential election yesterday.
昨日はアメリカの大統領選がありました。

I thought he would win an overwhelming(圧勝する) as media said.
私はメディアが言うように彼が圧勝すると思っていた。
But in fact this was not true. This presidential election still keeps being very hot(激戦).
しかし、実際はそうならなかった。この大統領選はまだ激戦が続いている。

The first time I had interest US election was the last election. I always believed media news, so I thought she would win. But she couldn't *win(不要).
初めてアメリカの大統領選に興味を持ったのは、前回の選挙です。私はいつもメディアを信じていたかは、彼女が勝つと思っていた。しかし、彼女は勝てなかった。
I was really surprised and I wondered why most people thought that she win.
私はとても驚いたし、なぜほとんどの人が彼女が勝つと思ったのか不思議に思った。

And, this time was almost same.
そして、今回もほとんど同じ感じ。
I think many people was surprised by trump. It is one of his strengths.
私は多くの人がトランプには驚かされていると思う。それは彼の強みの一つだ。

I'm looking forward to *decide(=see) who becomes the new president.
It would take time.
私は新しい大統領が誰になるのか楽しみです。時間がかかりそう。
