Exam for candidates recommended by the school principal
The day has finally come.
I have done what I should do for this moment. Teachers in the cram school told me to remember the expressions and phrases for the interview in English and I memorize them perfectly.
I took practice exams several times so far.
According to the result and the advice, the examination pass rate for the school was less than 20%..., on the other hand, the pass rate for the high school that has general course was more than 70%.
I decided not to go to my grandparents' house in the winter vacation to prepare for the exams although I wanted to see them...
After the efforts, the day has come.
The English exam was more difficult than I had expected... On the other hand, I did my best to write the short essay in Japanese and to be sincere in the interview.
The interview in English was actually nice.
Several weeks later, my teacher told me to come to the room to inform me about the result.
He says "Unfortunately..., you couldn't pass it and let's try it again."
At home, I talked with my parents about the result and my father advised one thing.
"You should take the exam for schools that has general course and learn a variety of things there and focus on English at university down the road."
After the exam as the candidate, I concentrated on studying and I passed the exam in March and enrolled in the high school.
3 years later, I decided to enroll in Kansai Gaidai University. I chose the university because I was able to graduate from it in 4 years even if I got the course for getting teacher's license (for junior high school and high school) and went to an university in foreign countries as an exchange student, which attracted me a lot.
Since then I have started to learn by trial and error to speak English..
