A day to wish for the growth and happiness of girls
It is called "Peach Festival" because it is the time when peach blossoms bloom.
Peach is a very auspicious plant
The peach tree is an eternal and long-lived senki that does not prevent illness or disaster in China.

Hinamatsuri (Doll's Festival) decorates Hina dolls
It is said that if you decorate the Hina dolls even after 3/3, you will be late for your bride.
This is due to the happiness of women = good luck in the olden days, and parents wish for the happiness of their children.

Hina-sama keeps the calamity of women at home. The daughter goes to the bride at her parents' house.
And the remaining chicks will be a substitute for the daughter for the parents.
In the old days, it was a stranger to go to the bride, and I couldn't easily return to my parents' house.
The dolls take the place of the disaster that the daughter hits herself, and the parents take the place of the daughter-in-law.

Today, we eat traditional dishes such as chirashizushi, clam soup, white sake, hina-arare, and hishi mochi.

Hina-arare(roasted mochi pieces)

This is because "Hina-arare" has the meaning of praying for the health of her daughter. Hina-arare is composed of four colors, "peach, green, yellow, and white," which means the four seasons, and also means "pray for the happiness of your daughter throughout the year."

"Hishi mochi" （ Rhombus mochi）
"Hishi mochi" is green on the bottom, white on the inside, and red (pink) on the top. From the bottom are green, white and red. This color represents the breath of spring, meaning that grass grows from the bottom and flowers bloom on the top, which leads to fertility and fulfillment of wishes.

"Clam soup"
A classic Japanese wedding menu. It is said that clams will never fit unless they are paired with each other. From that state, it has been regarded as a symbol of an ideal couple who "will stay with one person for the rest of their lives." Therefore, it is said that drinking clam soup at the Hinamatsuri is a wish of parents that "in the future of my daughter, I hope that I can meet a wonderful man, get married, and have a good married life." I am.
