18歳ラッパーが難民になるまで

3歳の時、初めて聞いたエミネムに衝撃を受けたんだよ！
すっげー！！って！それで物心ついた時からラップを作り始めて、ラッパーになってた。イランは学校で英語教育はないんだけど、ラップやってるうちにアメリカ英語もマスターしたよ。

去年ヒット曲が出たんだけど、それが偶然政府の耳に入って、政府とイスラームを侮辱してるっていう難癖をつけられて拘置所に連行された。実際、宗教的や政治的な発言なんて盛り込んでいないのに、いくつかの単語がそう聞こえるっていう理由で。何発か殴られて、ラッパーを辞めるという条件で解放された。

でもその後も名前を変えて音楽活動していたんだけど、新曲出した時に、ラジオ番組が間違って僕の昔の名前で紹介しちゃって。それで政府にバレて、自宅に政府の役人が僕を連行しに来た。ちょうど僕は外出してて、両親が対応したんだけど、父親から電話で逃げるように警告された。電話も盗聴されてるだろうから「逃げろ」なんて言わなかったけど、僕も最悪のケースを考えていたから父親の意図がすぐわかって、遠い親戚の家へ逃げた。数か月後、トルコに逃げて、どこか安全な国への航空券を手配してくれるブローカーを探し回ったよ。安全な国ならどこでもよかった。２か月経って旅券を手に入れて、そこでイギリスに行くことを知ったんだ。もうその時はラップのこととか何も考える余裕もなくて、ただ死にたくないって必死だった。捕まったら投獄されて殺されてたかもしれないから。

今でも少しずつ、ラッパーとしての活動は続けているよ。でも今は難民申請中で、これから審査に入るところ。ビザが安定しないと事務所と契約したりするのも難しいから、とりあえず今はSNSで発信してる。

もちろん、大学にも行きたいよ。最近19歳になったしね。それも、やっぱり難民審査が終わってからになると思うけどね。

流暢なアメリカ英語で話しかけてくれた彼。
すごく明るくって、最初はボランティアの学生かと思った。
この話を話してくれた後、私がブログに話を載せたいんだけど、っていうお願いにも快諾してくれた。SNSにアップしてる彼のラップは本当にプロだった。

「僕は、自分が「難民だ」っていう境遇から人に自分の音楽を聴いてほしくないんだ。自分がエミネムに感激したように、素直に人を音楽で感激させたいから。」

キラキラした彼の瞳は忘れられない。

偶然にも、国連UNHCR難民映画祭2017でイラン人ラッパーShahin Najafi の映画を見たことがあった。数多くのミュージシャンが国を追われるイラン。
「有名で偉大なミュージシャンほど、海外に出て行ってしまう…」

イランでは、イスラームに背くと死刑になり得る。同性愛者は死刑。無神論も死刑。国教であるイスラム教シーア派とゾロアスター教、キリスト教、ユダヤ教が存在を認められている宗教でそれ以外の宗教は全て非合法。

彼がたまたまたどり着いたのがイギリスでよかったって私は思ってしまった。日本だったら、この10代の彼に私たちが何をしてあげられるか私はわからなかったから。でも、何か手を差し伸べられる社会でありたいし、彼らにとって「なんで日本に来たの？」なんて質問は意味をなさない。
イギリスで難民認定に要する時間は半年から1年。日本は約３年。しかも認定されるのはたった0.2％。でも彼は、日本の中にもいるんだ。私がただ出会わなかっただけで。

私がイギリスで出会った彼の情報は載せられない代わりに、映画にもなったシャヒンさんの情報を参考までに。

その首に多額の懸賞金が掛かるイラン人のミュージシャン。ラップやロックにのせて国内の女性に対する弾圧や人権侵害を批判する作品を発表するシャヒン。だがそれによって当局の怒りに触れた彼は死刑宣告を受け、2005年に若き難民としてドイツへと逃れる。日々、暗殺の恐怖と闘いながら音楽活動を続ける。

When I was 3 years old, I was shocked by Eminem I heard for the first time!    It was amazing. So I started making raps and became a rapper. Iran has no English education at school, but I mastered American English while I was raping.

A hit song came out last year, but it accidentally entered the ears of the government and was taken to a detention because they said it’s insulting Islam and government. In fact, it doesn't include religious or political statements, but some words sound that way. I was beaten several times and released on condition that I quit the rapper.

But after that, I changed my name and kept working on music, but when I released a new song, the radio program mistakenly introduced it with my old name. The government found out it was me and they came home to take me to the jail. I was out that time and my parents responded, but my father warned me to run away on the phone. He didn't say "Run away" because my phone was also eavesdropped, but I was thinking of the worst case, so I knew my father's intention immediately and ran away to a distant relative's house. A few months later, I fled to Turkey and looked for a broker to arrange a flight to somewhere safe. I didn't care where if it's a safe country. Two months later, I got a flight ticket and I finally knew I was going to UK. At that time, I couldn't  think about rap or anything, and I was desperate that I didn't want to die. If I was caught, I might have been imprisoned and killed.

I still keep working as a rapper. But now I'm applying for refugee status and I'm about to be interviewed in a few months. If the visa is not stable, it is difficult to sign a contract with music agencies.

And of course I want to go to university. I turned 19 years old. I think it will be after the refugee screening is over. **********************************************************
