It’s unclear whether Xi will even attend the September gathering in New Delhi, one of the officials said.

ひどい話、今の米国は中国の動きを何もつかんでいないと言っているようなもの。

Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, who visited China this week, told NBC News' Andrea Mitchell that Biden-Xi meeting at APEC promised to be constructive.

“I have no doubt if he were to come it would be productive,” she said on Thursday.

希望的観測？

これって、米国が中国の相手にされていないという意味でもありますね。

確かにこれもあるでしょうが、基本は米国の力（信頼）が落ち、中国は以前ほどに米国をみていないとも思いますけどね～

ま、全く逆の解釈をする方もいると思いますが、最近のサウジアラビア、イラン、ロシア、中国、ブラジルなどの結束を見ると、そうも言っていられないと思います。
