▼1月30日に行われた，大学入学共通テスト第2日程の英語（リスニング）の簡易解説です。これまでセンター試験では，追試験の問題形式が翌年の本試験で取り入れられたこともありましたので，来年度，共通テストを受験する皆さんは是非，この第2日程の問題も解いてください。

【1】第2日程リスニング概略

▼以下，私が解いた際に受けた印象です。

① 全体的に，形式と分量は第1日程とほぼ同じだが，第1日程よりやや難度が高く，特に第5問は第1日程に比べるとかなり難しい問題ではなかったかという印象を受けた。逆に，第1日程に見られた「あとから言い直す」「…も」といったトリッキーな表現がなかったので，全体として素直な問題だったように思える。

② 第1日程と同様に，問題冊子に書かれている文字情報やグラフ・図表などのビジュアル情報と合わせて考える必要がある。そのため，音声が流れる前にそれらの情報をどれだけ素早く読み取って準備しておくかが重要になる。

③ リーディングでも感じたことだが，発話の複数の箇所を「まとめる」ことが要求されている頻度が高いように思えた。

【2】リスニング大問別解説

第1問

［A問題］発話者の「意図」を問う問題。
問1　[1] ④："When does our club get together today? At three?" という質問から，④の "The speaker wants to know the time of the meeting."（話者は会合の時間を知りたがっている）が正解。
問2　[2] ③："I'd like to wear a red tie to work, but I only have blue ones." という発話から，③の "The speaker has blue ties."（話者は青いタイを持っている）が正解。
問3　[3] ④："Would you tell me Kevin's email address, please?" という質問から，④の "The speaker wants Kevin's email address."（話者はケビンのメールアドレスを求めている）が正解。
問4　[4] ②："I baked Yoko's birthday cake, but I haven't finished wrapping her present yet. So I'll be late for her party." という発話から，②の "The speaker will finish wrapping a present for Yoko."（話者はヨウコへのプレゼントを包み終えるだろう）が正解。

［B問題］文法的に正しく英文の内容を解釈する。
問5　[5] ②："This sign says you can swim here, but you can't camp or barbecue." という発話から，②が正解。
問6　[6] ④："The chef is telling the waiter to take both plates to the table." という発話から，④が正解。
問7　[7] ②："The park is not as far from the station as the cafe is." という発話から，②が正解。

第2問

▼対話の情報とビジュアル情報を組み合わせる。
問8　[8] ①："Can you take the cups off the table and put the books there instead?" という問いに対して "Done!" と答えていることから，①か③が正解となり，"Shall I close the window?" という問いに対して "Umm, leave it open." と答えていることから窓が開いている①が正解。
問9　[9] ②："What about the hotel between the zoo and the mall?" という問いに対して，"Great, and it's across from the park." と答えていることから，②が正解。
問10　[10] ④："Umm, perhaps the chicken lunch is better, then." という発話に対して，"Well, I don't want salad, so this one's perfect!" と答えているので，④が正解。
問11　[11] ④："Who's the boy with the dog, Ayaka?" に対して，"My nephew. Next to him is his twin sister." と答えているので，②が「私の甥」で，③が「彼の双子の姉（妹）」である。さらに "Is the woman next to her your sister?" という問いに対して，"No, she's my aunt, Tomo." と答えているので，④が正解。

第3問

▼対話の主旨を理解し，情報を整理する問題
問12　[12] ③："But first I'm going to deliver newspapers until I save enough to go around the world." という発話と，"I want to be a famous writer someday, but right now, I need money, too. Maybe I can work for a magazine!" という発話から，③の "Work to earn money"（お金を稼ぐために働く）が正解。
問13　[13] ③："I posted that by mistake, but I thought I deleted it." という発話と，"I don't want people to see that photo of me." という発話から，③の "Delete the photo from his blog"（自分のブログから写真を削除する）が正解。
問14　[14] ②：最後の "Well, it's OK, but I like the other one better." という発話から，女性は dark green の車ではなくもう一方の車，つまり the blue one を好んでいることがわかる。よって，②の "The blue one"（青い方）が正解。
問15　[15] ②："I haven't seen you for ages." という発話と "Wasn't it five years ago, when our class graduated?" という発話から，②の "Jane and Mike were classmates before."（ジェーンとマイクは以前クラスメートだった）が正解。対話から二人の人物関係を推測する必要がある。
問16　[16] ③："The textbook is sold out at the bookstore." という発話と，"Yeah, but I know he gave his book to his sister." という発話から，テキストが現状では手に入らないことがわかる。よって，③の "Find another way to get the textbook"（テキストを手に入れる別の方法を見つける）が正解。
問17　[17] ④："I'll go out for lunch and come back then." という発話から，④の "Spend some time outside the hotel"（ホテルの外で時間を過ごす）が正解。

第4問

［A問題］複数の情報を比較検討しながら適切な順序に並べる問題。
問18～21　ワークシートのグラフを完成させる問題。数値や分数，序列を表す表現に注意する。
問18　[18] ①："Columbus was a bit cooler than Rockport in the summer, while its winter was a few degrees warmer." から，①の "Columbus" が正解。
問19　[19] ④："By comparison, Rockport had a much cooler summer than Lansfield and experienced the coldest winter among the four cities." から，④の "Rockport" が正解。
問20　[20] ②："Hopeville changed the least in temperature and was just a bit cooler than Lansfield in the summer." から，②の "Hopeville" が正解。
問21　[21] ③："The temperature of Lansfield in the summer was much higher than I expected―the highest in fact." から，③の "Lansfield" が正解。

問22～25　表を完成させる問題。時刻や行先，バスの番号に注意する。
問22　[22] ⑤："The A2 bus leaving for City Center is canceled." から，⑤の "CANCELED"（運行休止）が正解。
問23　[23] ⑥："The A6 bus, which goes to City Center, is running normally." から，⑥の "ON TIME"（時間通り）が正解。
問24　[24] ②："Finally, the B7 bus to Eastern Avenue will leave half an hour late." から，②の "11:00" が正解。
問25　[25] ③："Those passengers going to City Center should now take the C10 bus to Main Street. It'll continue on to City Center after leaving Main Street, which takes 10 additional minutes." から，③の "11:10" が正解。

［B問題］与えられた複数の情報を統合・整理して適切なものを選ぶ問題。
問26　[26] ①：以下のように情報を整理する。言い換えや関連表現に注意しなくてはならない。また，条件が順番に述べられるわけではないので，出てきた順番に表に〇，×などの記号を入れると良い（※△は，推測すればそう言えなくもないが，断定は難しいという情報）。

第5問

▼音声情報をワークシートと図表で整理しながら解く。表現の言い換えにも注意。
問27　[27] ④："But remember how trees help us by absorbing CO2 from the air and releasing oxygen? Trees change CO2 into organic carbon, which is stored in biomass." と "This organic carbon is called "green" carbon. But listen! Plants growing on ocean coasts can also take in and store CO2 as organic carbon in biomass and soil just like trees on dry land do. 問35　[35] ④：Bob がどの発言に同意するかを推測する問題。Bob の主張に沿ったものを選ぶ。Bob の発話の "It gives me time to think about my grandma."，"Don't you think your personality shines through in a handwritten letter? And it makes people happy."，"Well, mindfulness, for one."，"Like taking time to do things with careful consideration. That's being lost these days. We should slow down and lead a more mindful life." から，④の "Writing a letter by hand is a heartful act."（手で手紙を書くことは心のこもった行為だ）が正解。

［B問題］4人の学生の会話からそれぞれの主張を把握する問題。
問36　[36] ①：Brad は "You should be more politically aware." と述べているように，初めから積極的。Alice も "The information is everywhere, Kenji! Just go online. Many young people are doing it." と選挙の情報をオンラインで入手することを Kenji に進めているので，初めから積極的。Kenji は "Well, Brad, who should I vote for? I don't know about politics." とあるように消極的。Helen も "Vote? We're only twenty. Most people our age don't care about politics." と述べているので消極的。Kenji と Helen のうち，Kenji は "OK, I'm convinced. We've got two hours. Let's figure out who to vote for!" と積極派に転じたのに対して，Helen は "I'll worry about voting when I'm old. But do what you want!" と述べているので，最後まで消極的。よって，①の「1人」が正解。
問37　[37] ①：Helen は "Vote? We're only twenty. Most people our age don't care about politics."，"I'll worry about voting when I'm old. But do what you want!" と述べており，年齢を理由に投票に消極的であることがわかる。よって，若者と高齢者の投票に対する関心率を示した①のグラフが正解。
