only yesterday
仕事からの帰り道
たまに父が亡くなる前に入院していた
病院の前を通ることがある
その病院の前にはファミレスがあって
僕と母と妹は「父はどうなるのだろう」と
よく相談していた。
それはまるで昨日のことのように
感じられるが
父は昨日よりも遠い場所にいる
On my way home from work,
I sometimes pass the hospital
where my father was hospitalized
before he died.
There's a family restaurant
in front of the hospital,
and my mother, sister
and I used to discuss
"what will happen to dad"
It feels like it was only yesterday,
but my father is in a place
further away than yesterday.
