I would like to share my conversations I had today (1/5). 

今日はガーナに住む男性と「トルコが最低退職年齢を撤廃した」と言う記事を読んで、会話しました。
Today, I read the article “Turkey Scraps Minimum Retirement Age” and discussed it with a men from Ghana. 

短い記事なので、あまり詳細がわからなかったのですが、インフレーションと2023年6月に迫る大統領選挙で、撤廃し、少なくとも20−25年働けば、退職してもいいよと言うこといなったそうです。
It was a short article so I couldn’t know the specific contents but, having inflation and president elections in June 2023, Turkish government decided to remove minimum retirement age and allow people to retire after they have completed 20-25 years of social security registered work. 

インフレーションが特にひどくてトルコの貨幣リラが前まで1ドル8リラだったのが、今では1ドル19リラらしいです。なんと2倍のリラ安ドル高です。
Inflation is now a big problem in turkey and Euronews reported that in September 2021, $1 was worth around 8 Turkish lira. However, by December 2022, the value was closer to 19 lira to $1, worsening a national rise in living costs.

日本だけでなく、ガーナでもトルコでも深刻なドル高に悩まされているのですね、、状況が改善するといいのですが、
Strong dollar is happening throughout the world now. I hope the situation will abbreviate. 

日本では春から夏にかけてピークアウトするとか予測されているそうです。
According to the today’ news, It is said that this inflation will peak out from spring to summer at Japan. 

楽観視していてはいけないですけど、（なんとなくクリスタルという本を読むとわかりますが、もう既にバブルの時期に少子高齢化が起きるだろうと政府が予測していたにも関わらず、人口減少も回復するだろうと楽観視し、当時の政府が何もしなかったため、今の状況が起きているそうな、、）
It is not good to be optimistic because similar things have happened in Japan in the past for depopulation with less children and more elder people. If you read the cook called “Nantonaku Crystal” government have already estimated during bubble inflation that the birth rate will decrease and aging population will increase. However, they were too optimistic that they didn’t take any measurement. That is why Japan society is facing to such serious problem now. 

さて、そんな深刻な経済状況を迎えているトルコで最低退職年齢を撤廃したということは、より長く働らこうが、働かなかろうが、個人の自由ということですね、、でも、この政策のために政府は莫大な予算をかけなければならなさそうで、上手くいくことを願いますね、、
Well, now as there are no Minimum retirement age, I think it is their nations freedom to continue work or stop working. Creating the new retirement system is expected to cost the government over $5.35 billion. That’s a lot…
I don’t know wether this will help because Opened Government have failed in the past that needed change to Limited Government like Thatcherism in the U.K. and Reaganomics in the U.S. with neoliberalism. 

ガーナの退職年齢は女性は60歳、男性は65歳、だけど、退職後の人生を歩むことができる人は少ないそうです。ちなみにガーナの平均寿命は64.11歳。医療制度の整備のあり方や公衆衛生などが関係ありそうです。日本で平均寿命80歳越えなのですが、、つい彼の答えに何も言えませんでした。異文化交流で少し、政治や経済が絡むと、なかなか難しいトピックもあり、より深い理解が必要だなと感じます。
The tutor taught me that retirement in Ghana is 60 years old for woman and 65 years for man However, there aren’t so much person who can live the life after retirement age. In fact, the average life expectancy in Ghana is 64.11 years old. It seems like medical system and public hygiene are related to this. In japan life expectancy is around 80 years old, so I couldn’t imagine what it would be like there. I couldn’t say anything… I need more understanding to the topics of politics and economics there. It is especially difficult when politics and economic relates to the conversations. 

どちらが幸せかなんてわからないですけど、どこの国でもその国で生きている人が幸せに生きれたらいいなと思っています。
I don’t know about definite happiness but, I hope every person who lives in the country are happy.
