この記事に書いた後も、就職活動を続けている。しかし、６５歳の年齢の壁は高いのか、民間の転職サイトに応募しても、面接にたどり着くこともかなわない。

職業安定所の求人サイトに、高校の学校事務のパートタイマーの募集が載っていたので、応募して、面接に行った。

面接担当者の中に校長がいた。彼が学校の人事権を持っているのだろう。

健康か？とか、学校までどれくらいの時間で来れるか？とかの質問は当然だと思うし、答えるのも問題はない。
しかし、学校事務とはどんな仕事だと思うか？と聞かれたのは少し驚いた。もし私が面接する立場なら、仕事の内容を説明して、できるか？と聞くだろう。提示された仕事ができるかできないかで、雇用するかどうかを決めれば済む。

面接の最後に、自己ＰＲをしてください、と言われた。たかだかパートタイマーに、自己ＰＲなど求めるものだろうか？

隣の市では、会計年度業務職員・一般事務のパートタイマー募集要項に、市役所の業務で大切と考えること及び就業経験等から業務に活かせることについて、ボールペンで作文を書いて提出するように書かれていた。

多分、この市の採用担当者は同じやり方をずっと続けているのだろう。彼らは、心構えで人を評価するのだろうか？
多分、彼らはジョブ型雇用などという言葉も知らないだろう。

ChatGPTに作文を書かせて、多少手を入れて出したら、どうなるだろうか？
多分、見抜かれることはないだろう。

結局、面接に行ったその日のうちに不採用との連絡が来た。「縁が無かったということで」という表現の電話である。これもたぶん日本特有の表現だ。

私も、こんな面接をする学校とは、縁を持ちたいとは思わない。他の学校の面接は、もっとましだろうかと思った。

But what kind of work do you think school affairs are? I was a little surprised to hear that.
If I were to hire someone, I would explain the job to them and ask them if they could do it. It is enough to decide whether to hire the person based on whether or not they can do the job presented to them.

At the end of the interview, I was asked to do a self-PR. Is there any point in asking part-timers to do self-PR?
Applicants for part-time positions in the neighboring city as administrative staff or general clerical workers must submit an essay about what they think is important in the work of the city hall and what they can utilize in their work from their work experience.

Maybe the city's recruiters have been doing the same thing all along. Do they judge people by their attitude? They probably don't even know the word job-based employment.

What happens if you let ChatGPT write an essay and tweak it a bit? You probably won't be spotted by recruiters.

In the end, I got a call that I was not hired on the same day I went to the interview. It is a phone call with the expression "It wasn't meant to be".

I also don't want to have a relationship with a school that conducts interviews like this. I wondered if interviews at other schools would be better.
