Poetry for you 

I received your letter

One morning 
when the fog was so dense
that all I could see
was covered with white
I received your old picture letter 

Where has it been
for as long as three years ? 

The handwritten date on it 
instead of a stamp
told me about the fact 

The letter reminded me
of the past days 
and made my heart 
both warm and terribly painful 

Autumn sunshine was still so strong 
that I was wearing my straw hat 
though I knew that was out of season 

I was there,
pointing toward the water tower 

Time after time 
people, winds, flowers and memories 
might incessantly appear and disappear, 
which is a natural course of things 

Your favorite checked hunting cap 
has gone beyond the door
