⚽⚽⚽1978年９月６日、東京都生まれ。12歳で読売ベレーザに入団。15歳の時に日本代表入りして17歳でアトランタオリンピックに出場。 20歳で渡米し５年間アメリカ女子プロリーグなどでプレー。2004年に日テレ・ベレーザに復帰。2009年アメリカ女子プロリーグに再挑戦し、 2011年ＩＮＡＣ神戸レオネッサに移籍。オリンピック４大会、ワールドカップ５大会に出場。2011年FIFA 女子ワールドカップで優勝し、大会MVPと得点王。 2011年度FIFA 女子年間最優秀選手。2012年ロンドン・オリンピックで銀メダル獲得。2014年AFC女子アジアカップ初優勝。 同年、なでしこリーグ300試合出場とアジアサッカー連盟殿堂入りを達成。国際Ａマッチ出場197試合、82得点。（2014年12月５日現在）
