AI Weaves a Ties for Elderly Care.

AI's New Possibilities for Elderly Care.

In recent years, advances in AI technology have revolutionized many fields. We believe that the same could happen in the field of geriatric care. Beyond the traditional framework of geriatric care, AI is opening up many new possibilities. For example, for people with dementia or physical limitations, services such as image and voice generation provided by AI are helping to enrich their minds and improve their quality of life. The potential to provide more personalized support is enormous.

The Impact of Advances in AI Technology on the Geriatric Care Sector.

Advances in AI technology are having an innovative impact on the field of geriatric care. For example, reading to the elderly using voice recognition and generation technologies is providing mental stimulation and a means of communication for seniors with dementia, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and anxiety. Image generation technology also promotes mental stability by evoking specific memories and scenes, thereby activating memories of the past. Furthermore, AI-based robots and virtual agents help support and motivate caregivers in their daily lives, reducing the burden on caregivers and promoting independence for the cared-for person. Thus, AI technology is evolving to improve the quality and efficiency of caregiving and to realize more human-centered care.
In an experiment conducted by Harvard Medical School in 2022, patients with Alzheimer's disease were shown three pictures and asked to choose the one they thought was the most beautiful. 2 weeks later, the same experiment was conducted, but the patients did not remember the previous one. Nevertheless, it was found that they still chose the same pictures. This suggested that a sense of aesthetics may be preserved despite impaired memory.
The inspiration from the Harvard study is the surprising finding that even patients with Alzheimer's disease retain a sense of beauty. This study shows that aesthetic values and sensory experiences still persist despite progressive cognitive decline and memory loss.
The findings highlight the importance of aesthetic stimuli such as art and music in the lives of the elderly and bring a new perspective to caregiving approaches. Focusing on aesthetic values and sensory experiences in caring for patients with Alzheimer's disease and dementia has the potential to improve their quality of life. This study offers hope and new directions for caregivers and suggests how powerful the human sense of beauty can be.

Effects of the "read-aloud picture book"

Considering the above key points, I plan to produce a "picture book to be read aloud". The text will be created based on advice from the sentence generation AI, pictures will be produced by the image generation AI, and the child's voice will be added by the voice generation AI.
This picture book is expected to have the following effects The picture book can be expected to: "reduce anxiety and stress," "reduce delusional and aggressive behaviors," "mental stability," "promote spontaneity and activity," "improve physical mobility," "express facial expressions and emotions," "support communication," "activate the brain," and "have a relaxing effect.

A prototype "picture book for reading aloud" has been completed.

As a "pilot version," we have produced a prototype but completely original "picture book for reading aloud!
Please enjoy the original "picture book"! Please enjoy the original "picture book".
