ロヨラ・メリーマウント大学キャンパス紹介！ Introducing Loyola Marymount Campus (LMU)!

2024年春「カケハシ・プロジェクト」参加メンバー、上智大学文学部英文学科のAsaです！
上智大学の協定校であるLoyola Marymount University（LMU）について紹介したいと思います！
Hi! I’m Asa from Sophia University, and I’m a member of the Spring 2024 Kakehashi Project!
Today I’m going to introduce Sophia’s partner school, Loyola Marymount University(LMU).

早速Loyola Marymount University（LMU）について紹介していきます！
LMUはカルフォルニア州ロサンゼルスに位置しており、約60ヘクタールあります。上智大学と比べなんと6倍の大きさもあります🤯
またアメリカの「綺麗なキャンパス」ランキングで12位にも選ばれています💫
Loyola Marymount University is located in Los Angeles, California, and spans approximately 150 acres. It is six times the size of Sophia University🤯
LMU has also been ranked 12th in the "Most Beautiful Campus" category💫
キャンパスは自然と技術が融合していました。キャンパス内には緑豊かなスペース、広場があり、落ち着いた素敵な環境です。勉強、リラックス、アウトドアを楽しむのにぴったりです📚🍃
また、キャンパスを歩いているかわいいロボット「Kiwibot」もいました！これは食事配達をしてくれるロボットです！
The campus was mixed with nature and technology. The campus was filled with green spaces, gardens, and open areas, creating a peaceful and aesthetically pleasing environment. These spaces are perfect for studying, relaxing, and enjoying the outdoors📚🍃
There was also a cute robot walking down the campus, called Kiwibot! It is an on-campus robotic food delivery service that delivers your favorite meals right to you;)
建物の中にたくさんの緑がありました！
また毎週水曜日に” Wellness Wednesday” と呼ばれるファーマーズマーケットが開催されます。
ここでは屋台のようなものが出ていたり、古着が売られていたり、様々なものが置いてあります。特に印象的であったのはパイ投げのブースです👀このようなブースを出すことによって資金集めをし、その団体の運営費に回しているようです。
生徒が主体となって活動しており、キャンパスに活気が溢れていました！
There is also a farmers market called “Wellness Wednesday”. There are many vendors selling food, second-hand clothes, and other things.
I was most surprised by the pie-throwing booth 👀 They fund-raise by setting up this kind of booth and use it to cover the organization's operating expenses.
The students took the lead in the activities, and the campus was full of energy!
何よりもLMUの生徒たちがキャンパスをさらに素敵な場所にしていました！LMU の人々は皆優しくて歓迎してくれました！素晴らしい経験をありがとうございます🤍
More than anything, LMU students made the campus even better and special! All the people at LMU were sweet and welcoming! Thank you for an amazing experience🤍
少しでもLMUに行ってみたい！留学してみたい！と思ってもらえたでしょうか？胸を張っておすすめできる大学なので、ぜひ足を運んでもらえたらなと思います！
I hope some of you guys are interested in LMU by now! I strongly recommend this University so please pay a visit to the campus!
