Irresponsible Statements on a Student's Life - Feb. 12, 2024.

I was shocked to learn that a politician falsely suggested a teen student was transgender, making the student a target of bullying. She has already deleted the post, but we must address her careless statement, as it affected a child's well-being and safe school environment. I understand there are various opinions on gender identities, and I don’t intend to criticize her beliefs. However, no one has the right to jeopardize children's wonderful and hopeful lives. She seemed to overlook the impact of her opinion and her responsibility as an official. Her inappropriate comments will linger in the minds of the student and the student’s parents, even if she apologized for her mistake. In this highly advanced internet society, we must remember that our careless remarks can have lasting consequences.
