HLAB MIYAGI-ONAGAWA 2022  サマースクールが終わり、約2ヶ月半が経ちました。8月11日〜8月17日に開催されたHLAB MIYAGI-ONAGAWA 2022  サマースクールで高校生が何を感じ、学んだのかが分かる内容となっています。是非、ご一読ください。

【HLAB M-O 2022 Daily Report Vol.1】

本日ついに、HLAB MIYAGI-ONAGAWA 2022 が開催されました。新型コロナウイルス感染対策で2年間オンライン開催が続いていましたが、今年は宮城県女川町で3年ぶりに対面開催することができました。開会式では宮城県と女川町の関係者の方々から激励のお言葉をいただきました。その後のアイスブレイク企画では、さまざまなアクティビティを通して、初対面とは思えないほどの盛り上がりを見せていました。

続いて行われた「女川アドベンチャー」では、ハウスごとに女川町を散策し、女川町の歴史や魅力的な自然に触れ合うことができました。

夜のリフレクションでは、初日で緊張する姿があったものの、徐々に高校生同士、高校生と大学生メンターの距離が縮まっている様子も見受けられました。

HLAB Summer School MIYAGI-ONAGAWA 2022 was finally held today. After two years of being held online due to the countermeasures against the new coronavirus infection, this year we were able to hold the event face-to-face for the first time in two years in Onagawa Town, Miyagi Prefecture. At the opening ceremony, we received words of encouragement from officials from Miyagi Prefecture and Onagawa Town. During the ice-breaking session that followed, though various activities such as gesture games and silent games it was hard to believe that this was our first meeting. On the “Onagawa Adventure”, the participants were able to experience the history of Onagawa Town and its fascinating nature by exploring Onagawa Town with house members. Despite some nervousness in the evening reflection session, it was evident that the high school students and university student mentors were gradually becoming closer to each other.

HLAB MIYAGI-ONAGAWA 2022は本日2日目を迎えました。朝食後、初めての「セミナー」が行われました。セミナーは、海外の学生によるアカデミックな授業です。英語で講義や対話が進む中、なかなか積極的に発言できない高校生もいましたが、慣れていくにつれて発言が増えていきました。

昼食を挟んだ後、2つ目の舞台である「松島自然の家」へ移動しました。松島での最初の企画である「自己分析企画（過去編）」では、自分の過去を振り返りました。少しずつ今までの経験や思いを他の高校生や大学生メンターに対して話しているうちに、自己理解を深めていく姿が見られました。

夜の「大学生フリーインタラクション」では、高校生が興味のある大学や分野を専攻している大学生と自由に話す機会があり、大変盛り上がっていました。2日目にして少しずつサマースクールに慣れてきて、自分の殻を破ることができた一日だったのではないでしょうか。

HLAB Summer School MIYAGI-ONAGAWA started its second day today. After breakfast, the first seminar was held. Some high school students found it difficult to speak up actively in the English lecture, but as they got used to it, they started to speak up more.
After lunch, the group moved to Matsushima. In the first project in Matsushima, “Self-analysis project (past section)”, each participant reflected his or her past and gradually deepened their self-understanding as they shared their past experiences and thoughts with other high school students and university student mentors. even though it was something they were not used to. At free interaction session with university students in the evening, the high school students had the opportunity to talk with university students majoring in the universities and fields they were interested in, and it was a very exciting day for them. On the second day, they were gradually getting used to the summer school and were able to come out of their shells.

HLAB MIYAGI-ONAGAWA 2022は本日3日目を迎えました。午前中のセミナーでは前日に比べてより深い内容を取り上げていましたが、高校生も積極的に発言し続けていました。午後に行われた「松島アクティビティ」では悪天候ではありましたが、近くの海岸で思い切り楽しんでいる様子が見られました。

そして「カレー作り」では、一から火を起こして飯盒でお米を炊くチームとカレーのルーを作るチームに分かれ、高校生同士が助け合い、美味しいカレーを作ることができました。中には人生最高のカレーができたという声も聞こえてくるほどでした。

キャンプファイヤーは悪天候の影響で中止になってしまいましたが、リフレクションでは今日のアクティビティの数々で絆を深めたおかげか、昨日よりも深い話ができている様子が見られました。

The HLAB Summer School MIYAGI-ONAGAWA 2022 reached its third day today. The morning seminar covered more in-depth topics than the previous day, and the high school students continued to speak out actively. In the “Matsushima activity” held in the afternoon, despite the bad weather, the students were seen enjoying themselves to the fullest at the nearby beach. In the “Curry making activity”, the high school students were divided into two teams: one team made a fire from scratch and cooked rice, and the other team made the curry. Although it was unfamiliar work, they helped each other and were able to make delicious curry. Some of them even said they made the best curry of their lives. The campfire was canceled due to the bad weather, but the students seemed to be able to talk more deeply than yesterday in their reflections, probably due to the bonding that took place during today's many activities.

いよいよサマースクールも折り返し地点となりました。午前中に行われたセミナーも3回目となり、高校生たちはアカデミックな内容について英語で話すことに慣れ、抵抗が少なくなっているように見えました。

そして午後に行われた「フリーインタラクション」と「女川探求企画」では、多岐にわたる職種の社会人の方々をお呼びし、進路選択や仕事についてなど自由に会話をしたり、女川の復興の最前線を走っている方の講演を聞いたりしました。高校生のみなさんは、普段は接することのないリアルな社会で生きる社会人たちとの交流に大きな刺激を受けている様子でした。

夜に行われたリフレクションでは、初めて高校生のみでリフレクションをしました。メンターがいない空間で、自分達がなりたい姿や将来への不安などについて話し、お互いや自分自身と丁寧に向き合う時間となりました。

Summer school has headed into the final reach. We have now completed the 3rd or morning seminars, and the high schoolers have become adept at speaking on academic topics in English, and overcome their struggles with a language barrier. During the afternoon, all sorts of working adults came in for the “Free Interaction” and the “Onagawa Exploration Project”, to talk about decision making for their education and career planning without any barriers. Many people with different occupations were there, giving the high schoolers an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of professions. The Leader of Onagawa’s recovery project was there to give a public speech as well. Everyone had a chance to directly interact with working members of society, and seemed truly inspired. At night, the high schoolers reflection took place, where all the students contemplated what they experienced throughout the day. Without any mentors there to supervise them, they talked about their ideologies and concerns for the future, getting time to face themselves and rethink their paths.

【HLAB M-O 2022 Daily Report Vol.5】

天候などを考慮し、朝に予定されていた「山登り」は中止となり、代わりに高校生同士やメンターと対話する時間、午後に行われるタレントショーの準備の時間となりました。
「Focus ONAGAWA」では、社会で挑戦を続けるロールモデルとして社会人4名をお呼びし、交流しました。高校生達が素直な疑問や悩みを真っ直ぐ社会人の方々に投げかける姿が印象的でした。

午後以降の企画は、残念ながら新型コロナウイルス拡大防止の観点から対面での開催が中止となり、「フォーラム」は国内外で活躍される落語家の方をお呼びしオンラインにて講演を行っていただきました。

「タレントショー」や「リフレクション」の実施が制限される中、自室で待機する高校生らに対してラジオを行うなど、状況に応じた企画を行いました。また高校生たちは空いた時間を使ってメンターへのサプライズメッセージビデオを作成してくれました。いつの間に準備してくれたのかと驚きつつも、高校生のみなさんからの素敵なメッセージに涙するメンターもいました。そのお返しとしてメンターからも、この4日間の様子とメッセージをまとめたエンディングムービーを送りました。

With weary weather to be taken into consideration, the mountain climbing that was planned for the morning ended up getting canceled. After that, at the “Focus ONAGAWA”, we reached out to 4 role models who continue to take on challenges in society, to converse with the students. It was impressive to see the high school students expressing their honest questions and concerns directly to working members of society. Unfortunately, due to covid, we were unable to hold face-to-face meetings in the afternoon and later, so we invited a rakugo storyteller, who is active both in Japan and abroad, to give an online lecture for the "Forum”. While the "Talent Show" and "Reflection" sessions were restricted, we were able to organize radio programs for the high school students who were waiting in their rooms.
The high school students also used their free time to make a surprise message video for the mentors. Some of the mentors were surprised, but they were moved to tears by the wonderful messages from the students at the same time. In return, the mentors also sent an ending video summarizing the past four days and their messages.

【HLAB M-O 2022 Daily Report Vol.6】

サマースクールが終了し、非日常から今までの日常に戻ります。いろんな感情や思いが入り混じっている中、自分と向き合い ※ジャーナリングを行うことでそれらを整理してもらいました。
そして8月21日、1回目のオンラインフォローアップ企画が行われ、数日ぶりに他の高校生や大学生メンターと交流しました。共通点探しゲームを行った「アイスブレイク」、対面のサマースクールでも「大学生フリーインタラクション vol.2」、そしてサマースクールをハウスごとに振り返る「サマースクール全体リフレクション」の3つの企画がありました。特に「サマースクール全体リフレクション」では、久々に会う仲間と楽しく会話をしながらも、それぞれ日常に戻ったからこそ気づいたこと、感じたこと、刺激を受けて一歩踏み出そうと思っていることなどを語り合うことができました。

※ジャーナリング…頭に浮かんだ自分の中の考えや思いを紙に書き出してみること。

Summer school has come to an end and we are returning from the unusual to the routine that we have been used to. With many mixed emotions and thoughts, the students were asked to sort through them by facing themselves and journaling. Then, on August 21, the first online follow-up project was held, and after several days, the students interacted with other high school students and mentors. It included three projects: "Ice Break," in which they played a game to find commonalities, "Mentor Free Interaction vol. 2," which was also held an in-person summer school, and "Overall Summer School Reflection," in which they reflected on the summer school in House. Especially in the "Summer School Overall Reflection," they enjoyed conversation with each other, but also they were able to discuss what they had noticed and felt since they had returned to their daily lives, and how they were inspired in Summer school to take a step forward.

【HLAB M-O 2022 Daily Report Vol.7】

サマースクールが中止になってから約半月が経ちました。サマースクールの6日目と7日目に行う予定だったワークをするため、2回目のオンラインフォローアップ企画を行いました。対面サマースクールで行った「自己分析企画　過去編」に引き続き、「自己分析企画　未来編」を実施しました。自分の大切にしている価値観、また、大切にしたい価値観を言語化しながら、将来における最終的な目標を立てました。サマースクールで自分と向き合ったからこそ見つけることのできた大切な価値観を、人生の目標に繋げることができたのではないでしょうか。そして「6日間の振り返り・将来に繋げる企画」では、サマースクールで得た気づきや学びを改めて文字に起こしたのち、明日、1ヶ月後、3ヶ月後、半年後、1年後、3年後に自分は何をしているのか、何を叶えているのか、どんな人になっているのかを書き出す「未来日記」を書きました。自分と深く向き合い、自分の大事にしたいこと、なりたい姿を大切に、今回書いた未来日記をどんどん更新していって欲しいと思っています。最後にサマースクールでの学びや気づきをもとに、「アシタ」の決意を共有する「アシタ宣言」を行いました。明日のさらに先の未来の目標、他の高校生やメンターへのメッセージを伝えました。それぞれが自分の気持ちを整理でき、自ら勇気を持って挙手する姿や、時には涙する姿などが見られ、素敵な時間になりました。

It has been about half a month since the summer school was canceled. In order to do the work that was scheduled to be done on the 6th and 7th days of the summer school, we carried out a second online follow-up project. Following the "Self-analysis Planning: Past Edition" that was done during the in-person summer school, we held the "Self-analysis Planning: Future Edition". The participants verbalized the values they cherish and the values they would like to cherish, while setting their ultimate goals for the future. The students were able to connect the important values they were able to find by confronting themselves during the summer school to their goals for their lives. In the "6-Day Reflection and Planning for the Future," the participants wrote down what they realized and learned during the summer school, and then wrote a "Future Diary" in which they wrote down what they will be doing tomorrow, in one month, in three months, in six months, in one year, and in three years, what they will have achieved, and what kind of person they will be. Confronting themselves deeply and focusing on what they value and what they want to become, they are expected to update their future diaries as they go along. At the end of the session, we made the "Asita Declaration," in which we shared our "Asita" resolutions based on what students learned and realized during the summer school. They shared their goals for the future, further into tomorrow, and their messages to the other high school students and mentors.

【HLAB M-O 2022 Daily Report Vol.8】

サマースクールが中止になってから約一ヶ月半が経過し、遂にサマースクールを締めくくるべく「出発式」がオンライン上で開催されました。久しぶりの企画にも関わらず多くの人が集まり、久しぶりの再会に胸を躍らせていました。初めのエンディングムービー上映では、女川で撮影されたサマースクール中の様子や、高校生の生の声が映し出されました。サマースクールの熱が一気に思い起こされるものでした。続いて、宮城県教育委員会、女川町教育委員会、協力団体挨拶である「特定非営利活動法人アスヘノキボウ」代表者、HLAB本部スタッフからのスピーチを経て、高校生代表者のスピーチが行われました。サマースクーやその後の経験について生き生きと語るその眼差しは頼もしく、ワクワクに溢れたその言葉は、勇気と希望をもらえるものでした。最後に、ハウスごとに別れて高校生へ修了証書が授与され、HLAB MIYAGI-ONAGAWA委員長の出発宣言を持って出発式は閉幕となりました。途中でやむを得ず中止となったサマースクールでしたが、その後もオンライン企画や、個別のやりとりを通じて繋がり続け、日常と非日常を行ったり来たりしながら過ごした1ヶ月半でした。高校生の未来につながる瞬間が散りばめられた1ヶ月半であったとも言えるかもしれません。暖かな空気に包まれて、出発式は幕を閉じました。

About a month and a half after the summer school was canceled, a "departure ceremony" was finally held online to conclude the summer school. Despite the fact that it had been a long time since everyone gathered, many people came, excited to see each other again after a while. At the beginning of the ceremony, the ending movie was shown, showing scenes from the summer school filmed in Onagawa and the voices of the high school students, which reminded us of the excitement of summer school. This was followed by speeches from the Miyagi Prefectural Board of Education, the Onagawa Town Board of Education, a representative of the cooperating organization "Asuhenokibo" (a non-profit organization), and HLAB headquarters staff, and then a speech by a representative of the high school students. His eyes were encouraging as they talked vividly about their experiences during and after the summer school, and their words, full of excitement, gave us courage and hope. Finally, the participants were separated by HOUSE and each high school student received a certificate of completion from the mentors, and the departure ceremony was closed with a declaration of departure by HLAB MIYAGI-ONAGAWA Committee Chairperson. Although the summer school was unavoidably canceled in the middle of the program, the students continued to connect with each other through online projects and individual correspondence, and spent a month and a half moving back and forth between the ordinary and the extraordinary. It was a month and a half of interspersed moments that would lead to the future of high school students. The departure ceremony closed with a warm atmosphere.
