The horror story

The other day, while my husband was working, he texted me. It said that he got a phone call from an unfamiliar number. He Googled it and found out that it was the drugstore located next to my hometown.

So we imagined that my mom would visit there if something terrible happened to her, and the shop clerk would call him after checking my mom's mobile phone.

I called them back instead of my husband and said, "I'm S. A while ago, my husband received the phone call from your number."

The clerk answered, "Our staff made a phone call regarding your order." I said, " We didn't order anything." After confirmation, he said, "When our staff called, she accidentally mistouched the last number, and the customer's name was also S(the same as mine). I'm very sorry."
What a coincidence!

If the drugstore was from another city, we immediately recognized it was a wrong call! Holy cow.

怖い話

先日、仕事中の夫からメールが届きました。「見覚えのない番号から着信があり、番号をググると、私の実家の隣町にあるドラッグストアの番号だった。」と。

夫と私は、私の母がそのお店を訪れ、倒れるかなにかして、母の携帯を確認した店員さんが夫に連絡してきたのだと想像しました。

仕事中の夫に代わり、私がそのお店に電話し「先ほどそちらからお電話をいただいたSです。」と伝えました。

すると、店員さんは「ご注文いただいていた商品の件でご連絡しました。」と言うので、「何も注文していませんけど？」と言うと、一旦保留にして確認後、「うちのスタッフがお電話する際、電話番号の最後の一桁をうっかり押し間違えたそうで…そのお客様のお名前もS様でした。大変失礼いたしました。」と。
なんという偶然なんでしょう！

他の都市にあるドラッグストアからの電話であれば、すぐに間違い電話だろうと気づけたはずです。あぁ、びっくりした！
